turelhim vampire
I saw on a Salamanders quiz on the B&C a while back that during the Heresy, the Salamanders painted symbols on their transports to prove their loyalty to the Imperium, basically suits of cards. I remember that diamonds represented tactical squads, but forget now what the other suits represented. I have two questions, the first of which, unsurprisingly, is what the other suits represented. Secondly, where did this information come from, originally? What source did the fluff come from? Cheers all! Pyriel
Dont remember but ts old fluff from back when the chapter were painted in black and yellow lizard stripes. They also used yellow diamonds on the forehead of helmets and also bisected those with red lines to signify veteran sergeants. But this is just from memory so it might be wrong. Aurelius Rex
The answer, as well as the source is in Rogue Trader's cunning Chapter Specific Quiz in the Librarium. (Question / answer 10.) And WD 117. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176428-salamanders-heresy-fluff-question/#findComment-2085579 Share on other sites

Actually it was after they had been changed to green.
