astindextor
Hi all. I've recently gotten into Chaos Marines from Imperial Guard, and I am liking what I see thus far. I started by converting the Marines from Assault on Black Reach, and picked up a Battleforce, a Chaos Lord, and a CSM Attack Squad (I actually picked that up first, to get bits to help convert the Black Reach marines). Now, I definitely plan to get my hands on another Rhino or two, but for now I can't afford it, and I am having trouble deciding who gets the Rhino: Berserkers or POssessed. Berserkers are a bigger unit, and I gave the leader the Power Fist, so I definitely want them getting into the fight asap. But POssessed have nothing else going for them BUT close combat, so I'm kinda torn. OVerall I think I like the Berserkers more, they seem a better choice than Possessed, but I have what I have and for now I have to use both. So which one should get the wheels? Side note: I am a little foggy. I know that models with a dedicated transport can start the game in said transport, but if there is still room, can other models start in the transport as well? I ask because I was thinking of having my Sorcerer start the game in the transport to be able to carry his Personal Icon where I want to Deep Strike my Terminators. Thanks for your help! Drudge Dreadnought
Both are dedicated CC units. That said, berserkers are a better one, and are scoring. Posessed may also roll something like scouts or fleet to help them close the gap, and have an inv save to help against more powerful weapons. Give it to the berserkers. Multiple squads may not share a rhino, but that doesn't apply to ICs as they join the squad and so become part of it. So yes, your sorcerer can join the zerks in the rhino as long as their is room and he's not a terminator (9 more zerker squad). Remember that when deepstriking off an icon thats in a transport you measure from the edge of the transport. JamesI
With only one transport, don't expect it to live long. But, put the Berserkers in it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176797-who-gets-the-wheels/#findComment-2089888 Share on other sites
chillin
Definately put the brzrkrs in the rino. like Dread sz the possessed may roll scout or fleet. Possessed are too expensive to have undetermined power, once you get some more models I would stop using them altogether. Don't send the brzrkrs out by themselves, hide them a turn or 2 or slow them down so as much of your army can hit at same time as possible. Jeffy.Gee
If you haven't already painted or assembled the possessed, mix and match the parts with other models to create awesome looking bezerkers and Marines. Possessed are too expensive in my opinion to field as a unit. However they do come with some awesome looking bitz, including some awesome arms that look like lightning claws.
