Spacefrisian
Just seen it in the new WD and thought why Blood Angels. So i was thinking of doing some minor Spacewolves conversions and use those (same weapon loadout off course) Has anyone else had the same idea? Using models i already have off course. Typical Cricket
Similar but different. I'm planning on cutting off all the Blood Angels iconography and making them into White Scars Teminators. Grimfoe
I'm currently trying to finish my son's crimson fist army before the SW's come out. I'm hoping to scrape off the Blood Angels icons and make them into CF's. Battleplate
Just seen it in the new WD and thought why Blood Angels. So i was thinking of doing some minor Spacewolves conversions and use those (same weapon loadout off course) Has anyone else had the same idea? Using models i already have off course. As to "Why Blood Angels?" well, because they have been the Space Hulk chapter in both the first and Second Edition of the game, and this re-release gives a big nod to the history of the game. Reading your question carefully, I think you are suggesting to re-create the Space Hulk squads as Space Wolves using generic multi-part Terminators. IMO, that would be the best option, as having had a close look at the Space Hulk castings, there would be a massive amount of work to remove all the blood angels specific stuff, to the point where it would be stupid. One idea that you may consider, is to model them on small irregular bases (ie, bits of industrial debris), as the Space Hulk mini's are, and then using rare earth magnets to attach them to standard 40mm bases. That way they can be used for both Space Hulk and 40K. (The 40mm bases are too big for the Space Hulk floor tiles, hence them missing in the game) Anyway, that's my 5c worth. Cheers, Battleplate. Vassakov
Battleplates idea is by far and away the most sensible. I am not a sensible person, and have a copy of Space Hulk to carve apart and remake as the Sons of Russ. I may try to do a WIP later. Grimfoe
The 40mm bases are a tad oversized, but I don't see why you couldn't just keep them on. They seem to fit fairly well. If I'm using generic termies, or my wolves, I'll just keep the bases.
