heretic??ME??
Hi thinking about essentially creating Ogryn Arco flagellant, then using the penitent engine rules for them. Fluff wise I was thinking of a Ogryn body guard unit that fails in its mission to protect a Imperial officer, while in the jurisdiction of the church they are not executed but used for penitent engines. USE THE MUTANT TO DESTROY THE MUTANT !!!!!!! Would people have problems with this. Going to extend and mechanize their legs, mount weapons from the forearm down (Buzz saws, electro flails and eviscerators) and add power back pack. ArmouredWing
Sounds like an inspired idea to me. Go for it and make sure you post some photos of the finished result. Chengar Qordath
I'll toss in on the agreement; so long as the size of the final product is on an equal scale with a Penitent engine (which it sounds like it will be) it sounds like an awesome conversion. the jeske
the thing is ogryns are a lot smaller then Engines . some models could actually hide behind rhinos , while the same thing is impossible to do with the normal engine models . in 4th ed that wouldnt be such a big problem [area terrain] , but in 5th its huge . Going off the first post, he's planning to heavily convert the Orgryn, including making them taller by adding extended mechanical legs. Presuming the final product if roughly the same height/size of a Penitent Engine there shouldn't be LoS problems. Thaelion Hexis
I like the idea. It sounds a lot like the ogryn thing from the rulebook for Inquisitor. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/176957-penitent-engines/#findComment-2095321 Share on other sites
