Commander Remiel
-sigh- Why do I not see any paint yet? I see all these models, and good job on that, but these guys need to be brought to life my friend!!!!!! :( A combination of family, work, & weather have kept me from painting. I figure when all models are built and ready, I will primer them all at once! Once I get a base coat on them, the rest will surely follow. I feel your pain Grendelwulf (but mine is a new job). Maybe when I get settled in, I can start painting as well. Possibly even my Deathwatch and see how they compare to yours. BTW, the shoulders pads are in the mail. Should be there within 3 weeks (going by surface). Now you have an even larger selection of chapters. Hopefully, this weekend will bring a hole in the ozone layer above my home when hell is unleashed in the form of aerosol spray. I must remember my sunscreen lotion... Ciao, CDR Grendelwulf BAH! Excuses! A Space Marine makes no excuses to avoid war! Nah, just kidding, good enough reasoning in my opinion And remember that sunscreen! I looked like a overly tanned out lobster with blue stains on my fingers when I did my battle company! CDR Grendelwulf
@Commander Remiel: Thanks for the shoulder pad update; yours are enroute themselves. Yeah, new jobs will certainly challenge your time/plans everytime. Good luck with yours! At the speed I am going right now, by the time you get ready with your painting I may just about be ready to start mine. :P @Twin .44: 1st primer attempt aborted due to shoddy paint (that's what I get for letting paint cans sit to long unused. Good news: bought new primer. Bad news: SHMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) had 'volunteered' me to do some local work for our church this weekend at one of their weekend market festivals. For some reason I couldn't seem to impress SHMBO with the need to protect the church from any of its enemies with the presence of the God-Emperor's finest and that they should REALLY be painted first. Heresy won out. Although, 2nd Good news: I made a point of bringing some of my old White Dwarf magazines and 'donating' them to one of the book tables. They were soon noticed by several youths and quickly purchased. Their indoctrination begins. I joked with SHMBO about getting our own table next time they do another market/festival...SHMBO can do some arts & crafts, I could do some crafty arts... :D (psst, hey kids, this is a blast template...) The only thing towards the battle company to report is the assembly of a few of my TAC Sgts: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v205/Grendelwulf/CM/DW_BC_10.jpg I am still missing Vulkan (on backorder) and a proper Grey Knight Justicar (my pseudo-plastic GK is subbing for now). Grey Mage
Not to threadjack this really cool project, but Ive been wondering- those winged shouldpads, are they the "emperors children" pads on the GW site? Commander Remiel
Not to threadjack this really cool project, but Ive been wondering- those winged shouldpads, are they the "emperors children" pads on the GW site? If this is the winged pad to which you are referring, they are Eagle Warrior pads, not EC. And yes, they are available from GW, and, yes, they could be used for EC. However, you would be damned as a 'Heretic' for corrupting them. EDIT: I had been working on a fairly complete list based on Grendelwulf's initial work but have not gotten around to finishing it yet. Hopefully sometime soon (before the first decade of the current millennium is over (so 2010 Dec 31). Grey Mage
Actually no, I was looking at the ECs pads for a DIY army a young lady is doing around here, but the pic on the GW site is blurry... the chapter symbol is a wing clutching arrows, white and gold on a blue background.
