Problem - 32 Khorne Berzerkers.. How to mark each 8 man group?

Ive looked at marking the base or under the base and it doesn't quite appeal. Anyone got any snazy ideas on how to mark them on the model?

I was thinking perhaps some kind of icon or numeral on the chapter badge (they all have GW World Eater shoulder pads) maybe through the world in the middle? What marking would I use?

Battled finding anything on the intrawebz.

Thanks in advance.

Dumb question...why do they need to have squads? My zerkers are frothing mad men, they care not for squads merely who managed to catch the rhino before it left without them. As long as there is one p fist champ in each squad they fight however they come out of the army bag.

For when there is a combat involving multiple squads it helps for wound allotcation, removing models etc, to know what models belong to what unit. It doesn't matter if your brzrkrs "care not", it's about game mechinics.

I would use numbers or color coded blotches on the bottoms of the bases as I don't see berzerkers as being orderly enough to go "Alright, Bonechewer, Gutspiller, and Facebasher, make sure your suits are nice and coordinated and go in the Archbutcher's rhino and umm sorry Frank but you gotta ride with Khârn."
Paint rings on the bases. Or have your own code markings like a black mark of khorne, red mark of khorne, brass mark of khorne and so on. Yellow and Silver also decent with most World Eater schemes, and if you go pre-heresy its easier with the blue and white.

Then you have to try and pick up a model out of a crowed melee, snagging chainaxes and knocking 1/2 the models over to find out what squad he belongs to. If the OP thinks the chestplate thing looks to orgainized for brzrkrs he could do 1 shoulder pad all the same in each squad as there are 4-5 different ones of those too. I also like Mutt's idea of different colored khorne markings.
