World Eaters Terminator

This is the first World Eater I have painted. It took a while to get down the concoctions for the right red, brass, and bones, but I have finally gotten it to a point where I said "I would love an army that looks like this". This is, without a doubt, my best painted miniature. It took me a collective total of 8 hours (ironic that Khorne's number is 8 :P.) Yeah, I know that's a long time, but if I am spending this mass amount of money on plastic toy soldiers, well, dangit, I'm gunna take my time on them <_<. I used Zhufor's helmeted head, the terminator conversion sets, Lord's lightning claws, the Defiler banner pole, and an ogre gutplate.

I call him Kruun, the Hungerer.

Good look at the snow. I know I need to do another layer of black around the edge of the base, it has a little bit of white.

My first time trying OSL eyes.

I like how his shoulder and the energy tubes turned out.

Not sure why this picture came out so bright...the real colors are darker like the other pictures.

I used TCR for the blood on the claws.

My favorite part of the mini; no it's not suppose to be earth, I did take geography B).

Good look at his tabard.

So yeah, that's the basic scheme for my World Eaters. I'm doing Urban bases with snow patches. Other guys will have more industrial/urban decorations on their bases, but I wanted to keep him simple.

Yeah, that gore looks amazing and the banner, while a bit over the top, certainly stands out and is painted well. If I'm allowed one piece of constructive criticism though, the skulls on the model look fairly flat colorwise. It appears that they're more than just bleached bone, but the shading is very subtle. I think it would do wonders if you were to exaggerate your shading/highlights on them.

Keep 'em coming!

Great mini, although I feel the golds are a bit dull, and I think the gore is a bit thick on the claws, but otherwise outstanding, I especially like the reds, very dark and Khorne-like :(

Well...I mean, blood's thick...it's not watery, it gets goopy and starts to coagulate when exposed to oxygen ;).
