It took a while to get down the concoctions for the right red, brass, and bones, but I have finally gotten it to a point where I said "I would love an army that looks like this". This is, without a doubt, my best painted miniature. It took me a collective total of 8 hours (ironic that Khorne's number is 8 :P.) Yeah, I know that's a long time, but if I am spending this mass amount of money on plastic toy soldiers, well, dangit, I'm gunna take my time on them <_<. So yeah, that's the basic scheme for my World Eaters. I'm doing Urban bases with snow patches. Other guys will have more industrial/urban decorations on their bases, but I wanted to keep him simple. The gold looks like it needs a wash to me, but i tmight just be the pic quality. The only thing i'm not sold on is the banner. It looks great, but its just a bit big. litlamzetiv Posted August 30, 2009 Share Posted August 30, 2009 Yeah, that gore looks amazing and the banner, while a bit over the top, certainly stands out and is painted well. If I'm allowed one piece of constructive criticism though, the skulls on the model look fairly flat colorwise. It appears that they're more than just bleached bone, but the shading is very subtle. I think the flash covered up most of the shading that the Devlan Mud wash provided. It is washed, I just need to master the art of photography to show it off :P.
