Converted Hurricane Bolters

As some of you may be aware, I'm falling behind in my race to paint my army before I play in some tournaments in October. Due to the peculiar way I decided to mount the weapons on my Land Raiders, I was left with a slight dilemma - normal Hurricane Bolters won't fit the Razorback turret top-piece. So I had to invent my own version, as follows.

So after some chopping and slicing, more on the plastic than myself thankfully, I came up with the following:

Last shot to compare the "height" of the gun turret to a Lascannon. While being a little chunkier, I'm fairly satisfied with the results.

 

 

Then I got carried away, and wanted to see what it would look like on a Razorback:

I know its not currently an option, but how cool would that be?!?!

 

 

Anyway, C+C appreciated on the design, its still a work in progress... I'll go do some work painting the Raider itself and see if I still like this thing tomorrow :)

That's quite a novel idea, could always proxy it as Twin Linked ACs but the idea of a Hurricane Razorback would be awesome.

 

i.m.o the height is a bit too much. Is there anyway of building them stacked three on three and mounting the sighting system on the side??

Dude, this is epic. This really looks cool. I agree with DCG, its a bit high, maybe you should put the targeting system on top of the gun pod, rather than on the side.
