IA 2 update

Heh up was just in the middle of converting a landraider Prometheus for my radical daemon hunter lord (Juvan Melcanus) and read the new rules.

Obviously missing the +1 on reserve rolls from the old days but the battle auspex rules are looking like a tasty way to deal with scum hiding behind cover.

Other than the 270pt price tag, the Prometheus seems like an okay way of giving an Inquistor more dakka; Ordo armies can field 4 of them in a single FOC, so versus hordes and/or drop armies they seem like a good buy.

On a personal note, I've been working up a set of scratch-built quad heavy bolters for my Land Raider, just to try a Prometheus out. We shall see.

Having played the Prometheus with my marines Monday, I can tell you, I enjoy the idea of being statistically likely to slay an entire guard squad in a turn should they be so foolish as to be caught in the open. For such unfortunates, the auspex makes going to ground useless.

Also, It wasn't +1 to reserves, it was once a turn, re-roll a reserve roll. Potentially more flexible, as you could choose to attempt to delay reserves.

i might be tempted into one for the sheer amount of dakka they dish out and those pesky guard aren't going to have a stupidly good cover save to help them out... Just think if your opponent deep struck a stormtrooper squad down behind some railing (4+ armour 6+ cover) FIRE! Bye bye AP3 people!

Ahh that would be nice 8 hits 7 or 6 wounds with nos saves....
