Ordo Sicarius

Ok, as far as I know the ordo sicarius was created to keep watch on the assassin temples but surly they would need a chamber millitant to assasit if something went wrong

would you say that the adeptus arbrites or the adeptus custodes would assisst them if the assassin temples ever rose up against the emperour again?

 

just asking as I think they would make an interesting painting and converting project to work on.

I would suggest that that ordo uses the assassins as it's chamber, and in the event that one goes rogue, it would use another to police it.

 

Alternatively, either the venium or vanus temples which don't see table top play are the anti-assassin assassins.

There's a good article on the Ordo Sicarius in Exterminatus magazine (issue 8 IIRC) - it describes how the Sicarius recruit and train assassins of their own. Unlike Officio assassins, the operatives of the Sicarius are not specialised, but instead are expected to be experts with all manner of weapons. The Ordo doesn't have a Chamber Militant as such - instead it uses these operatives, and deep-cover agents placed within the temples, to watch over the Officio (they more than likely have a few regiments of Inquisitorial stormtroopers too).

 

Obviously if things went particularly badly an Ordo Sicarius Inquisitor could call on the Guard, Arbites, Astartes or anyone else he needed in order to resolve the situation.

Who launches inquests against Inquisitors? Other Inquisitors. The anti-assassin assassin temples are probably a loose confederation such that they can watch themselves. :rolleyes:
