Thanks guys! I did a little bit more work on my Sarge last night. Here's how it's looking so far:

Funny story about the eyes. I figured I could go with yellow, green or blue, but couldn't decide which. So I said, "OK, I'll roll a D3. On a 1, they're yellow, 2 they're green, and 3 they're blue. Of course, with my luck I rolled a 1.

It is currently Khan on Moondrakkan, a Unit of Terminators in a Land Raider Crusader, a unit of Bikers with two Flamers, a unit of Bikers with two Meltaguns, a unit of Bikers with two Plasma Guns, and a unit of Scout Bikers as well, for a total of 1500 points.

Oh, and here's my updated Terminator!

Here's what I've been up to this weekend (well, this and work, but you get the idea, I bet):

I got the purity seals pretty much done I think, and I'm going to get all the Fortress Gray on him before I start the White.

Well, I don't have 1500 points yet - all I have is what's painted. But I did whip up a 500 point list earlier. It looks like this:

  • HQ
    Captain
    Storm Bolter
    Power Weapon
    Bike

    Troops
    Bike Squad
    1 Additional Bikers
    Flamer

    Bike Squad
    1 Additional Biker
    Meltagun

    Fast Attack
    Scout Bike Squad
    2 Astartes Grenade Launchers
    Cluster Mines

    Total: 498

EDIT: also, I got my Attack Bike Bases from DragonForge. Here's the result:

These are looking really nice. I also went for large bases, but I made mine myself after hoarding as many terminator/sentinel bases as I could. It was hard work but it pays off as they just look so much better. I wish I'd had the patience to to the white this way but in the end I went for a quick and dirty method (bit of a pattern for me when painting marines). Yours looks better, but my method allowed me to finish painting the army, and it doesn't look too bad when they're all together. I'll follow this with interest.

Just a quick point about your 500 point list... the storm boolter seems a bit redundant as all you're getting is an extra shot at 24" that you can't re-roll due to it not being twin-linked. I'd probably swap it out for something a bit more useful.

Thanks, Extartius! And that's a good point about the Storm Bolter. Maybe I'll drop it and add another flamer or something.

Anyways, I thought now would be as good a time as any to try some freehand, so I did a little on the knee here. I think it turned out not bad for my first try at freehand. Ever.

Great models so far mate, as said, white is a pain to paint. But you have done a wonderful job, everything looks really well done. I could never figure it out though, are space hulk models the same scale as regualr 40k, cause some of those termie models are quite dynamic, be interesting to incorporate them into my regualr force.
