TC's White Scars WIP

@ Crevette: Merci! Votre armee est beaucoup plus grande que le mien, bien que. Mien est toujours WIP. :P

@ Ethnic Minority: Thanks! :) I was really bummed when GW released the Kor'sarro Khan model only on foot, but I think this guy is a suitable stand-in. I'm still kinda experimenting with the colors, like "which red" and stuff, but I think I'm finally clicking with the white, which is certainly a relief.

@ Denrik Greymane: Space Hulk models are the same scale, but they don't come with bases - they're just sitting on little squares. I'm planning on putting a magnet in the bottom, so I can pop them off and still use them for Space Hulk. All in all, I'm really glad I snagged one o' these.

@ Capt. Lysander: Thanks! The white is certainly a pain, but I think I'm getting the hang of it. :)

Oh, and I have been working on my 'Scars. Here's a WIP of my Tactical Squad Sergeant:

@ Solomon de Gravier: I think they've all sold out of Space Hulk. :) You might be able to find one on ebay, but at a slightly inflated price.

@ Natanael: Thanks!

Here's pretty much all of my White Scars, with some Bonus Raven Guard as well:

Thanks! I chickened out and did my Tau in a tan & black color scheme. ^_^

Here's some close-ups of the freehand on his shoulder pad and greave. As you can see, I've been a little sloppy in places, but nothing that can't be fixed.

You sir. Are an inspiration to all White Scars players out there and i dare say to all of the less famous legions. I love your conversions and paint jobs. My White Scars are converted Raven Wing battleforces with some Blackreach Tac and Termies in there. I run the Dred too in a drop pod. I Painted him completely different however as White Scars can't have dreds, you likely know that but hey, i have a helmeted Kosarro Khan on Moondrakkan Wielding Moonfang(Instant kill on a 6 in assault anyone?) also my bikes are all troops so they are my core with one squad of foot sloggers for a flamer and a missle launcher.

Well, it's been a while, but I have been working on my White Scars, although some of my non-power armored models have been taking center stage for a while. Here's some pics:

I picked up the Wolf Guard Terminator box to make my Assault Terminators. Unfortunately, the box only comes with 4 pairs of Lighting Claws. After scratching the old noodle for a while, I figured out a solution. Since I had also bought the Wolf Pack box, I took a pair from that, cut them off at the wrist, and also cut off the hands of some of the arms from the Wolf Guard box, and glued the new claws on! The difference is barely noticeable - if you look closely, one Terminator has somewhat smaller, more close together claws than the rest. Overall, though, I'm pretty proud of myself for the quick fix. :D

Now I'm looking for some non-Space Wolf Crux shoulder pads. I think I'm going to get the Black Templars upgrade sprue, since it comes with extra Flamers and such, and use the pads from there. I'm also planning on shaving off as much of the Wolf iconography as I can and sculpting some Lightning Bolts and such on them. More pics as I update them.

As I said, I also bought the Wolf Pack box, which comes with a myriad of bits that are cool. I made a Tactical Squad out of them:

The Combi-Melta on the Sergeant is another quick-fix of mine that I'm a little proud of. I made it by slicing off the bottom half of the standard Melta that comes in each Tactical Squad box and attaching some parts of a similarly sliced up Bolter. Here's some close-ups:

Anyways, that's it for now. I'll post some pictures when I have some more stuff built and painted! :D

Update: I've been working on a Stormseer (Librarian), who'll probably jump on a bike and join my bike squad in my 1750 list. The only thing I'm not 100% sure about it the head - does it look "White Scars" enough?

Just use a xzacto and make some tribal/honour scars on the face, and bingo. White scars head.

I fell like the white armour is so distinctive, people will atomatically think white scars.

Those are some awesome looking white scars. Nice clean lines and solid white.

Do you paint your armored vehicles in the same manner as you painted the attack bike?

Took TOMMY's advice and made this guy look like a proper biker:

and also started working on my Land Raider:

Wow, white is such a scary colour, and yet you pull it off like a master! Well done sir!

Loving all the personal touches you've made, the scars and the horse in particular. I'm assuming the horse is going to be gold or something?

Completely jealous of your skills, keep it up!
