No grey knights at all

I have been running the notion of a no GK force, as in to say a Inquisitor Lord with 6 squads of Inquisitorial Stormtroopers. Now say I do everything I can such as giving them Chimeras and such would it be suicide? I have tested this plan on Vassal and it is a 3/4 loss (of about 100 trials). While relatively cheap it doesn't do well. What are your thoughts?

Anti tank would be lacking unless you stuck an inquisitor in a raider.

I would advise plasma in chimeras and meltas in rhinos. And some inducted guard.

Inq Lord with 3 gun servitors and some acoyltes with either combi weapons or plasma pistols and 2 sages and 2 mystics in a guard chimera = lots of dakka.

Forgive me if I offend you.. but why? Seems to me that you actually want to play IG. What you seem to be doing is further hamstringing an even more hamstrung army by taking IG troop choices, but none of IG's super cool tanks/heros/earthy goodness, and leaving out the few advantages DH provide (psycannons, termies). Do you have a purpose in mind to taking the stormtroopers only? Is there anything you want that an IG force could not provide? Is it about fluff? Again, not trying to be a jerk, but in order to help you properly I think the community needs to know your motivations.

You are gonna have to induct IG to use as the INQs private army. Look if you don't want to then you are gonna need a lot of the old FAITH to survive.

He could use Valkyries for the army maybe?? This would give him some extra fire power but it would soak up the points_______

I considered this..... but without being able to fill the Fast Attack slot and only 1 Heavy slot, you are never going to be able to field a good army.

Best of the options for you would be to go, Inq Lord in Land Raider for HQ slot

Inq with Landraiders for Elite slots

Then you can take you IST in Chimeras for troops

and the Orbital Stike.

That is a really expensive list but it at least gives a semblance of balance between anti-infantry and anti-armour.

Really expensive though.
