Hal
Finally done, phew! More shots here. For the name of the chapter I was thinking either Viridian Knights (Viridian is a shade of Green) or Astral Lords (seeing as they are a successor of the Astral Knights). Which name will win? You decide! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/ Share on other sites
Chaptermaster Graymantle
Wow that is one beautiful miniature! Very cool posture and the paint job is excellent! Like the magnetized arms as well. As for a name, I would go for Viridian Knights. Would love to see more of this Chapter in the future. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2100932 Share on other sites
TheReclusiarch
Sweet! Green and gold is great, got the same colours of my own chapter the Emerald Knights. Keep up the good work! Loyalty of Darkness
I think I would use Viridian Knights for a scheme like that. If the purple on his cloak was more prominent, then Astral Lords would be a better fit. *blinds himself with ideas of green and purple marines* X_x Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2101046 Share on other sites

sword brethren
that has turned out very well, you have painted the green masterfully. a very worthy chapter master! Edit: how did you do that sword? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2101395 Share on other sites
blackblade68
I freaking Love that cape! I think we need a tutorial on how to paint it! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2101450 Share on other sites
Hal
I have decided to call them the Viridian Knights. Though he is without a name, he has already proved himself in battle after single handedly contesting an objective against a squad of chaos marines for 3 turns. @sword brethren The sword uses the shaft of a power axe with a plasticard blade seen here. Its small enough to be a power sword while being big enough to be a relic blade depending on what I need. @TheReclusiarch While the scheme is close to the Emerald Knights (which are very good btw), the shade of green is different and the chest eagles are usually bone. Best not to copy another chapters scheme, if breaking copyright rules today can cost you thousands, image what the punishment would be in the 41st millennium! @blackblade68 The cloak uses old fashioned wet blending using various ratios of Liche purple to white. The freehand was done in pencil first then "traced" over with a few layers of watered down dheneb stone before going over it with white. Thanks for the comments everyone! chapter master 454
awesome, that cape is just...epic and while I ain't crazy about his 'sword' (looks like a halberd/sword hybrid) the green is just lovely. oh and as for purple an green marines I would say if done right could look just pure epicly awesome! Master Toddius
I'll second what everyone else has said; beautifully painted green and gold marine. The blends and highlights are very nicely excecuted. Nice work. And I love that his arms and head are magnatized. Thats just cool. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2103544 Share on other sites
the thousandth whisper
Lovely Model, how did you paint your purple? and could your purple painting method be applied to armour? I would name him either, Chapter Master Damethius or Sly Griggs Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2104240 Share on other sites

Master Commander Ajax
Great mini, the colors work very well together. Do you have any photos of the rest of your army? Also where did you get the torso from? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2105093 Share on other sites
koran
Very nice. The purple cloak is really nice as well. Just a little freehand but nothing too OTT and distracting from the rest of the model. JDwebb
That's a really nice model. The paint job is great, and I love the armour. Where did you get the chest plate and legs? Hal
@JDwebb Here is the WIP thread. The legs are taken from Doghouse's famous 'Gothic' truescale marine tutorial. The chest plate is from a terminator with the eagle removed and the chest detail green stuffed on. Hope that answers your question. sgtNACHO
I think the arms need some beefing or something. They look a little puny compared to his massive torso and legs. Other than that its a fine model! Good job! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/177706-green-chapter-master/#findComment-2127556 Share on other sites
