Codex preview monday

Hey guys, today i went to GW to pick up my copy of Space hulk and the manager told me that on monday that they are allowed to show the codex in the store. He also let slip that our new battle force will have a drop pod inside instead of rhino and finnaly that the conversion kit would make you explode in your pants to put it nicely. Take it with salt if you want, but that what he told me.

Nice, I have to sort out the stores Xmas order Monday so I'll see whether the Rep will send us the Black Box for the Sons of Russ.

Unfortunatly I was told that the previews at my GW will be later in the month :( . Why can't it be October 3rd already?

I think you're thinking of the Spearhead bundles that contain all the new goodies a'la Space Marine Spearhead with TFC, Sicarius, Kantor, Drop pod, Sternguard, Vanguard and scout bikers.

 

I'm not sure I like the idea of a drop pod but hey, good luck with your mission.

Sorry for the confusion guys, the previews bit was about the new SW codex :D .I'd advanced ordered space hulk and was collecting my copy and having a massive game in-store. I was wishing that October 3rd would come along soon so I can get the new SW codex ;) .

I hope this isn't correct info. But at the same time I do. My PH GH squad will not be ready for the Great Hunt if it IS the 3rd.

 

Maybe if I only field a 6-man squad I can get it done...

Yes.

 

Probably within 2 weeks.

 

Current rumour suggests at least 2 plastic box sets (Space Wolves Pack + Wolf Guard TDA) and the Canis Wolfborn (metal.) Unconfirmed reports of blisters, but all characters are apparently being redone. I would expect 2 blisters at most. There was also speculation of a Generic SM Captain in TDA plastic set, but how likely that is remains to be seen. Oh, and a battleforce.

Odins smoking beard! We finally got pics!

 

I think the comments are perhaps a tad harsh. The conversion possibilities look very promising, specially with vanilla marines. The heads look good too.

 

The trickster, despite his mischievous expression, isnt a great pose. Njal looks suitably awesome. Canis i'm 50/50...although that wolf is freaking huge.

Wolfrider as a concept is a bit strange but it might grow on me as Wolftime draws near!

To me the Wolf Rider is actually the poorest model, all my familly thought it was rubbish ,(especially my artist daughter).

Its also a real shame there is no running/dynamic legs in the power armour box set.

Termies and Njal are GREAT though !

The plastic wolfy terms look good to me. The rest aren't bad, I do love seeing wolfy bits on things. The wolfborn model.... well, it looks like an oversized playful puppy to me. I can almost certainly say my dog takes up that pose (paw up, tongue out) when we're playing in the backyard....

Assault marines will still find their use :lol: But agree, although not a deal breaker, some forethought that BC's are young and anxious to get at the neck of the enemy would be nicely represented in running legs. But they know we will get assault legs if that is what we are after, and that means more money.

I don't mind having a character riding on wolf back... but the thought of having Space Wolf Wolf Riders is not appealing to me at all... even if they're suppose to have +1S, T and A.

 

I will take them with a grain of salt, but I am more then likely to model them in bikes under a banner to represent them as the Wolf Riders.
