First model I've made since 2003, I need some input.

Overall I like him, I've never been a big fan of termi lightning claws on standard power armour, they're a bit big for me.

Also his pose is a bit closed, the only way I can explain it is he's chopping up something small or tossing salad.

Love the assault marine!

I, too, like it. It is a bit hard to get a really dynamic pose with the power armour lightning claws but you have done a good job. I have also been having difficulties get a satisfactory pose for power armour sgt so I feel your pain.

The assault marine rocks. And I am sure the BT High Marshal will be a great addition to it and the rest of your BTs.

This is what I have so far. I need some suggestions/critiques.

Hope you don't take this the wrong way but the miniature looks worse then the one you did when you were 16. I'll list some of the things that look weird to me:

- The red cape/tabard lacks depth so maybe a wash of red or black or maybe even brown depending on if you want a crisp clean look or a more down to earth look.

- The black highlights look too thick...thought it looks like you don't have a small enough brush to do highlights any justice. So if your up to it redo the highlights so they are as thin as your older miniature.

- No metallic colours at all on him which is weird. If you add in some metallics it would help break up the black some more.

- The lenses don't look naturally to me but I think that may be a result of not having a small enough brush.

The only two other things are more personal which is your choice of green for purity seals. I can understand that you wouldn't want to use red due to the cape...but I have always felt gold purity seals look better than green. At least on Templars. The other is the choice of black on the tabard. It doesn't seem to be working to well with your colour scheme so possibly go with white like on the shoulder pads.

Hope this helps you in some ways on how to improve your painting.

I personnally wouldn't have applied hot wax to a cape but nevermind, also i don't think there is anything wrong with the possitioning of the lightning claws dood - he's obviously in a heroic/resting pose, not actually fighting at the point he is posed.
