Kek
Hey all just finishing my minor convertion of BC Stern but there seems to be something missing in the colour scheme and i cant put my finger on it. Lend us a hand and point it out. Mr.Millar
I like it, i think adding a little badab black wash to the skulls would help make them look more like bone (if that's the look you want) although it may just be the flash messing with the colours a little, all in all, real good job, i like it :D . Rob_Loken
NIce mate, liking the blue cloak and tabard. What I would suggest though is some sort of wash on the gold. Perhaps a blue wash for an aged effect. Oh and good work on the face too. Interrogator Stobz
KEK, Great work so far, remember that 80% of your gain is in the last 20% of your work. Here is my process when I get a model to that stage. Black wash or black line the recesses of his armour, it's a bit flat looking and the recesses shine more than the rest in those photos, also a brown wash over the gold inlaid lettering will bring that up (may need a very careful highlight after). If you brown wash the book and re-highlight it will look older, and more leathery and using the side of a brush to highlight the red on the Storm bolter will make that nicer. A little Scrollwork on the SB looks personal too. Flat black inside the barrel to give depth. Good lightning on the sword, if you highlight the edge with mithril silver so it looks like it can cut is important, think drybrushing those edges. A more neutral colour on the base, instead of the bright green will 'ground' the model, as will drybrushing a pale brown and/or grey over the rock will make it look more natural too. Very nice work overall though. Not trying to critisise, just thinking that you are ready to move that model up a gear as you asked. make it a centrepiece for your force etc... $0.02 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178050-gk-grand-master/#findComment-2104917 Share on other sites
