Levitas Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Havnt played wolves since rogue trader days, but have been lured back by nostalgia and shiny new plastics. Been watching the rumors and leaks with interest. Having been playing fast moving Raven Guard for the last year I have got used to fast moving units, but am relishing units with more bite. The reliance seems to be on heroes, specially with extra HQ slots. But with 75% of games needing objectives taken, is there any point in being top heavy with no scoring point sinks? But GH look to be troops actually worth taking (very tired of vanilla tacs, who do a workman like job but with no flair). I'm thinking bikes and jumpers, but the rest i'm open, specially as to take BCs or GHs. Will probably go a homebrew wolflord and support from one of the priests. Not interested in Canis...at this point. Early thoughts for a raven becoming wolf?? Grey Mage Posted September 9, 2009 Share Posted September 9, 2009 Note that a GH pack is supposedly around 150pts for 10 guys with Ultragrit. Say 30pts tops for a rifle and a fist or sword.... and it becomes pretty clear that were working with a 40-50pt reduction in cost compared to old school packs. All those points means that expensive HQs just balance things out a bit.
