Rogue Wolf
A lot of sense being talked in this thread, Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it but am sure most of the older players here will agree, we started playing Wolves because they were differant, they stick a middle claw up to the codex astartes and do things the way Russ intended, We were the first chapter to have our very own Codex in second edition, and to date we still have some of the coolest minis ever molded. Sure playing Wolves has its drawbacks but it also has its advantages, and that is the way it always has and always will be I for one cannot wait to get my claws on the new codex and weigh up, Ok so i may have to make some changes to my army and tactics, but that is the nature of the game, adapt and overcome. It is also a great way to surprise your usual opponents who may be used to your playing style and favoured units. This is a time for drinking and song The Wolves are coming Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178070-doom-and-gloom-in-the-fang/page/3/#findComment-2108446 Share on other sites

Also true This is a time for drinking and song True 3 time <drink his ale> I'm very happy, that they do not deastroy our fluffness with all those new toys. But still don't like taking away LRE, and more of that stuff flying around and droping with wolves in it. That is exactly why I play the wolves. I can't wait for this codex and the challenges the new dex will bring. Nice post and welcome! Skyrar's Finest
"I tell you truthfully, I was planning on using the new dex and mini's to make a Skyrar's Dark Wolves army. I've always liked the fluff and the philosophy of the Space Wolves, but I could never get a hold of the dex. You guys are seriously making me reconsider going renegade..." I wouldn't mention that to Decoy otherwise you'll get used as a chew toy and the rest of us will have a use for you in our favourite passtime in the Fang's many ale halls ;) ^_^ . Seriously though, This is what I was afraid of when the new codex comes out. Skyrar's Dark Wolves are in the Chaos Codex for a reason. Cheers Thorgrim Yes but as has been stated on numerous occasions the chaos codex is rather blah....however as I said, I'm thinking I'm going to play Space Wolves the right and proper! lokeiSHP
I am personally excited about the new dex. Admittedly some of the items people are bothered about don't really effect me cause I wasn't running 2-3PFs in a squad any etc. GH: Seriously, they got upgraded and cheaper. They are better in almost every way possible. Skyclaws: o_O lots of dust to blow off here. Wolfguard: not a retinue anymore? full options available for WG that get deployed to other squads? Yes please. WP and Runepriests brought in line with C: SM? Sure Canis + Wolf Riders: I personally don't have the distaste for the model that everyone else does. Personally, I think this will be a fun unit to play with. Frankly, as far as the Bloodclaws go, they were a little cheap to begin with. Yeah, losing the 2nd and 3rd fists will hurt a little, but not too much. I personally plan to bring them to the house 15 men strong in a LRC. We kept Berserk Charge. Who would have predicted that? Transports: 10 Man LR. Big deal, it should have stayed that way in C:SM anyway, plus why use the vanilla version when the 12 man LRR or 16 man LRC is available. Both options are better choices for assault forces anyway. 10 man DP again, meh, deal with it, or accept that you aren't taking that 2nd MG/PR in your squad.
