Master Toddius
Okay, so I was thinking tonight that if an IC decided to join a unit of say, a 10 man tactical squad that were over 50% in terrain cover; would he/she have to make a dangerous terrain check even if they simply became in coherency with the 2-3 models OUTSIDE the terrain? Obviously if the LOS is blocking over 50% of the squad where they aren't IN the terrain isn't the issue, its if they were. No where in the rules does it talk about this. I've checked twice. :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178082-indie-characters-wjp-or-bike-joining-unit-50-in-cover/ Share on other sites
Frosty the Pyro
off the top of my head, You would not have to make the terain check when you join, as the character is independent during its move. However I am fairly certain you would have to make he check when the now joined unit leaves (next turn obviously) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178082-indie-characters-wjp-or-bike-joining-unit-50-in-cover/#findComment-2105433 Share on other sites
nimu
Only if the IC actually landed in dangerous terrain. If part of a (jp)unit moves into dangerous terrain, only those model that actually touches the dangerous terrain should take the test (making it possible to loose the special weapon model) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178082-indie-characters-wjp-or-bike-joining-unit-50-in-cover/#findComment-2105685 Share on other sites
