It's something I really want to add to my work but it's something I find scary. Ah screw it, I'll add it to one of the lists of things I will just get on and do this year that I've put off in other years. The client's only got the one land raider in this commission; but it was the idea that if he got another 'raider or the upgrade set he could have a choice of weapons. The white is actually really easy; it's not white. The main colours are deneb stone and VMC ivory; with spot washes of devlan mud to shade. winterdyne Posted April 19, 2010 Author Share Posted April 19, 2010 For the terminators, it's deneb stone airbrushed over black, with increasing amounts of VMC ivory. Finally, spot washes of devlan mud are used for deep shaded before VMC ivory, deneb stone and black are used to smooth it off and blend new highlights where needed. I used a dual action AB-130 type airbrush for the land raider. I wouldn't like to try preshading with the citadel gun, although it'd be ok, if a little awkward mix-wise for the zenital work as on the terminators. The metal figure is substantially smaller than the modern plastic Terminators, so he's been mounted on a largish piece of slate to bring the height up a bit. Combined with the banner he's imposing enough. The robe and heraldry has been sculpted with greenstuff.
