Neth_Oni
nice, I want to get my hands on that pack too... :) I have a question to you who holds the sprue (and to anyone else that might know) if there are parts to make a Mark of the wulfen modell that really looks the part or if I have to convert it? Thanks in beforehand :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178271-painting-challange-10-new-plastic-sw-in-2-weeks/page/3/#findComment-2110239 Share on other sites
Canis Wolfborn
I like how everyone of them is painted consistently. Corver
Thanks for the comments. There isnt really a MotW head, I'm using one of the 10 unpainted wulfen or even repainting one of my 13th co with PF. To get the consistant look i built and basecoated 5 models at once. Then go and do the highlights. Also they are painted the same way as the rest of my SW army. WG Vrox
Once I got a good look at the detail of the pieces I am very impressed these are briliant pieces. It seems as if they are using a different injected molding process. For sure the plastic is of a different material or the curing process gives it a different shade as they are darker in color than my older wolf pieces. In either case I noticed they tried to add a few symbols of the Great Companies The pieces that I see are: Chest piece with Irik Morkai's Great company Backpack with Ragnar's Great company banner of the Thunder Wolf Egil's may be on a bolter Gunnar Red is on a bolter and back pack possibly Engir Krakendoom's Great company is on a bolter as well, very fine detail if so. Lord Ragnarok
Love your paint jobs Corver(always loved your 13th Co.). *Sigh*, I don't think there is any of Harald DeathWolf's ensignia's on those sprues. Mr. Danvers
Sadly not, I already checked for those. The transfer sheets you can download for Harald are great. Nice work Corver, might have to use them for some extra inspiration. WG Vrox
I have a question to you who holds the sprue (and to anyone else that might know) if there are parts to make a Mark of the wulfen model that really looks the part or if I have to convert it? There are some, shall we say hairier heads and a couple who's hair styles are done in a wolf manner. As you have already seen their is the wolf helm from Clorver's pictures which could represent a helm given to those who have succumbed to the wulfen state. Hope that answers your question WG Vrox. lunchb0x
Have to Thank you Corver, I went to a LGS and talked the manager into letting me take the space wolf box home with the promise I would paint them and bring them back in a week. After I am done with them he will display them until Oct 3rd at which time I have the option of buying them back at retail. So I bring to your table a huge frosty ale for the idea and head to my hobby table to start doing what we do. Will post some pictures when I get some stuff together. WG Vrox. IF your painting them , you shouldnt even have the option to buy them back, you should just get them after the 3rd. Ive seen your stuff, its good!!! I'd say 90% of that highlight is due to the cameras flash.. but then again, I didn't take the picture, so what do I know? Lord Ragnarok
Oooooh Vrox, now you are also on my hate list. Man you guys are lucky. Love the Morkai chest. Sorry for the large picture, but new comp and I don't have the right photo app. but hey look at all that detail. Don't be sorry mate, one of the drawbacks about living in Malta is that we don't have a copy of the dex or any of the new SW sprues. Seeing them in that pic is the only way I get to salivate over them. Thanks a mil. And i like the way you built them, especially the WG with the TH. Really great. dublindawg
I am going to keep my fingers crossed that the new miniatures are in the store the first weekend of October when the wife will be out of town. This way I can spend all weekend building, painting and knocking back a few pints with no interuptions. Florida Gator
Are there plenty of those outstretched arms for the bolters? I pray that they are, they will be essential to my grey hunters Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178271-painting-challange-10-new-plastic-sw-in-2-weeks/page/3/#findComment-2111561 Share on other sites
WG Vrox
Are there plenty of those outstretched arms for the bolters? I pray that they are, they will be essential to my grey hunters There are 2 of the one in the picture and 4 with pistols that can be converted to bolters, in addition there are 2 plasma pistol arms that are outstretched. We will not have a lack of weapon arms as there are enough to have a pack shooting pistols or bolters. I am setting up this squad to be all in a shooting stance. The one that I am working on now will be a slight conversion using a bolter. Alas no brother, I have been informed that you take the plasma pistol as a replacement for the bolt pistol but still get to keep close combat weapon and bolter and with flamer/melta/plasmagun you keep bp/ccw. Making it very interesting indeed.
