vulpenie1
Hey, Im looking at making a allied list for fun (but legal list) using Witch Hunters as the parent list and Daemon Hunters as allies, and then inducting Imperial Guard into the parent list as troop choices (core troops will still be WH troops ofc). I was wondering if i am alowed to pick up priests from the Guard codex without having to select a Guard HQ choice? The line under the priest entry reads "An imperial Guard army may include 0-5 Priests..." so what constitutes an IG army? using Guard as the parent list? :S I might be seeing early easter eggs in the rules <_< but any help would be very welcome. jeffersonian000
It appears that GW has set a precedent with “upgrade” characters being available to inducted units. They have also stated that IG Priests are not the same as WH Priests, and that neither will confer their respective bonuses of the others forces. That said, it seems Priests can only be taken within their own parent list, and must follow those specific restrictions. WH Priests can be taken as an allied 0-1 HQ, yet they too must be attacked to only WH units per their restrictions (and to unlock Arco-flagellants for the allied 0-1 Elite slot). Functionally, we have been advised by GW that codex specific units work within their codex specific list.
