Daemonhunters

Hello all.

Thought I would start posting my finished Daemonhunter/GK's figures up. I'm just getting back into 40k and have a lot of painting to do! I will continue to post as i finish them.

Comments and feedback welcome.

Grey Grey Knights! :P

Looks like you are off to a good start.

The only thing i could think of is that you might want to consider painting the lenses and cables on the dread to add a spot of colour.

Nice and tidy painting. I like it so far.

I am also looking at building an army of Grey Knights that are actually medium to dark grey/blue-grey and your colour scheme is close to what I am thinking of doing. What colours did use at what stages?

I used PP's Greatcoat Grey as the base then added Adeptus Battlegrey and highlighted up from there.

Thanks for the comments folks.

Cool! I like the look of actual grey Grey Knights as opposed to the current metalic color scheme.

One minor comment, AFAIK the =I= you painted on your dread is primarily an Inquisition symbol, not a Grey Knights symbol. While they do work together and the Grey Knights are nominaly under the command of the Inquisition, just the =I= alone does not make the dread look terribly Grey Knight-ish. You might want to consider supplementing that with a shield shapped icon (if you or your friends play WHFB, plastic Imperial shields should be easy to come by), like the shoulder pieces of the GK termis or the Grey Knights "sword & book" chapter symbol? That or somehow incorporate the red/white/black color scheme of GK heraldry on the model somewhere?

Just some ideas to consider! :teehee:

Great suggestion.

I went into this army knowing that an Inquisitor Lord would always be included (one of my favorite figs and fluff) but adding more GK heraldry makes sense. I'll see what I can come up with.

Thanks!
