Brother Grius
SO, I awoke this morning and hopped in the car to head to the LGS. I was just about out of the driveway when I noticed my MP3 player was gone. I quickly realized my car had been burglarized and promptly I checked the trunk for my Black Templars army. It wasn't as I had hoped, although it could have been worse. Amongst the survivors were my Dreadnought, Vindicator, 2 Predators, 3 Rhinos and 15 Terminators. Sadly I lost 7 full infantry and jump infantry squads in the GW case they did grab. 100 Marines in all, including the HQs. SO, being the eternal optimist that I find my life requires me to be, I view this as a prime opportunity to collect some of the new wolves. I'm not giving up on the Templars for good, but I have been extremely excited about the new wolves. (I liked the old ones, I just didn't want to invest in models I knew were going to be changing soon.) I will be joining the Space Wolves to write my own sagas full of epic victories and not stolen marines. What units do you guys have high hopes for in the coming days of the wolf assault?! I am excited by the new Wolfguard rules. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178407-my-saga-of-sorrow/ Share on other sites

Wolfpriest
Sorry to hear about your army man, i know if that happened to me and i found the guy who sole it i would beat him to within an itch of his life. My friend had his truck stolen, with a CSM Slaneesh army and an ork army with 150+ boys, in the truck. He got the truck back but there was no army in the truck, they just got thrown away because the guy who stole it had no idea what it was. Welcome to the Wolves, having seen the codex at my local store, i love every page of it. Now is a great time to get a fresh start with the wolves because i know a lot of us who are getting long in the fang with the current wolves are going to be doing the same thing as you, getting as much of the new wolves as we can. Thorgrim Blackwolf
Sorry for your loss but look on the brightside, you will be able to get some excellent new minis and if they were insured then you should be able to replace the minis you lost. I know that doesn't replace the time and effort that went into the lost mini's but there is always a silver lining. Cheers Thorgrim Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178407-my-saga-of-sorrow/#findComment-2109898 Share on other sites
Brother Grius
Wow. Thanks for the great responses! Unfortunately my insurance is not going to cover it, so I'm heading over to the LGS today to deposit some cash for store credit. I've been thinking about ways I can really make some awesome Lone Wolves. I guess all that leaves me to say is, "For the wolftime! For Russ! Ales for everyone!" Hrathnar Flintfang
I think we can all sympathize with the pain brother, and I am very sorry for your loss. It is quite noble that you have persevered even though someone has slighted you and set you back like that, but I can promise you that your newfound Brothers here will help ensure you can regain what you lost at least in spirit, and offer you support and advice as you take your journey and prepare for the coming glories of the wolftime! Vash113
Ouch that sucks, most likely they're in a dumpster somewhere, the thief probably figured there was a camera or tools or something. Anyway it's good to see your trucking on regardless and welcome to he Wolves. As for where to start I'd just get like 3-4 of the new Power Armored Space Wolves and turn them into a mix of Grey Hunters and Blood Claws. You can't go wrong with a solid core of troops. Redbaron997
If you have any pics of your army leave them with all the LGS to keep an eye out for, and keep an eye on ebay for your stolen marines. ORKILL
I feel your pain, brother. 3 years ago, 5 GW cases and the case with my SW vehicles were stolen. These cases contained all of my troops fo my IG army, over 3800pts of SW, 1500pts of SM, my sons SMs, and 1500pts of Orks. About 95% was fully painted. Luckily, I had planned a second IG army and the Praetorians were in storage. I also, had about 65 SM figs that were my loaner army and I had my Army Transport full of IG tanks and my LR Exterminator for the SWs. Last year, Hurricane Ike took the Army Transport and my LRE. They are in the Gulf of Mexico. However, since December I have managed to get about 2800pts of Praetorians and tanks painted and last week I started using greenstuff to convert the loaner army into Pre-Heresy SWs. I have 5 completed and 2 more WIP. My plan is to have atleast 1500pts finished by Oct. 3rd. Zemox
I have a simmilar story even tough nobody stole it but it does include models that are probably lost forever: About 2and a half months ago me and my family moved back to norway from New Zealand, and i decided to mail all my warhammer since we got better things to put in the suitcases (like what!?) it now seems like some slack employe at NZ post(or was it mail) managed to send the package with all my warhammer to a non exsistant adress, (i had the correct one typed on with block letters) and now my models are likely to be sendt back to NZ to be destroyed because that was what was checked of should they be returned, this includes 20Devourergaunts 40Termigaunts, 60hormagaunts, 23converted gargoyles, and eldar avatar, 20Eldar dire avengers, 6howling banshees, a farseer, ten bloodclaws, 4Wolf guard leaders (or that is what i am inteding to use them as), a converted trygon and last but definatley not least a barbed hierodule, carapace blended arms and base magnetized and basically the best paintjob i have ever done. I do have allot of friends in new zealand that can surely help, but the problem is that the package is likely to be picked up and destroyed at border control thus never making it into the country..... :/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178407-my-saga-of-sorrow/#findComment-2110478 Share on other sites
Hemjorn Krakenslayer
It seems army loss is more common than we all would like. Its good to see how many of us can carry on after multitudes of miniatures are taken away. Glad to see a new wolf.
