Gooooodmooorning Faaang!!!

My name is Fabio, I come from a little town of Italy.

I am not a new SW player. I've been used to play the sons of Russ in the early '90 in epic scale.

During the last years of the last century I dropped GW games, and only at the beginning of 2006 I returned in this fantastic world.

I started collecting and battling with SW, of course, and now my army is about 5000 point, plus new entry from the latest realese.

Maybe in the future I can post some photos.

I've lurked this forum from long time, I've found a lot of ideas and suggestion here, and now it's time to come into the light!

FOR THE EMPEROR, FOR RUSS, FOR THE WOLF TIME!

PS: I'm not used to write in english, only to read, and it's not the same thing, so, sorry for all the mistakes! :)

Just recently started a SW force. I've been playing WH40K since I was 12. Introduced to the game through a happy accident, clearance on some old Rogue Trader at the local gaming store. Quickly became hooked and have played several armies. First Dark Angels, then Eldar, Word Bearers, Imperial Guard, The Lost and the Damned, Word Bearers, Tau, Word Bearers, Chaos Daemons, Tau, and now Space Wolves. I was attracted to the fluff and the character of the miniatures. Still haven't figured out how I plan to actually play my force but it should prove quite interesting.

Hail to the Wolves !

I'm a recent new player to WH40K and have gone with the SW because I love the figures, loved the "vikings in space" style of the story .. and frankly, liked being the humans in a world of nasty aliens. :P

I regularly play with a few mates, they are either hoard armies, or eldar.

Hey up everybody.

I'm very new to all this forum stuff so this seemed like the best place to start! My name's Mike, I'm 21 and from South London, been playing 40k for about 10 years now, although i took the classic big break between 6th form and uni (as I suddenly found there was a lot more things to spend your money on!) but I started gaming again after I graduated this summer.

It all started for me when I inherited my cousin's Dark Angels just after the release of the 3rd edition rules. The Sons of the Lion for about four years (so many plasma cannons!!!) but after having my backside handed to me in a tournament by a force of Blood Claws (with very little else in it!) I decided to defect and I've been an avid devotee of the Great Wolf ever since. I'm now in the process of restructuring my army using the new rules and purchasing some of the gorgeous new models that GW have lavished upon us.

Last one back to the Fang buys the ale!

I few years ago (2004 I think) a friend got me into 40, the thing that really made me interested was building cool battle fields and then fighting battles with detailed painted miniatures on them. I think I even built some terrain before I decided I wanted to get an army (he had 2k of BT and 2k of Eldar) I started looking over the armies but I didn't want to play Marines because they seemed to common. I was very keen on Orks and was interested in Dark Eldar and then I came across the Space Wolves the giant beards, ale and huge axes sold my on the army. I ordered a squad (no local hobby shops) and Logan and a pot of Space Wolves Grey paint and started my army. The Space Wolves Grey paint was the only regret I had, but after starting the army with that color I don't plan on switching.

I got on of the old Dreads on Ebay and after I got my squad. Logan, and that painted everyone I played with moved away. This year I followed most of my friends and moved to Seattle and got interested in 40K again and was able to get a 1K army painted by the time the new codex came out. So far my 1k list has been REALLY fun to play with 4 wins and 1 loss. I could play a 1250 point list but hate fielding an army that isn't fully painted.

A warrior's welcome to all the new Blood Claws!

Carry yourself with pride and remain loyal to Russ and the Allfather. Maybe one day you'll become as mighty a Blood Claw as yours truly. :D

@ Puds

Haha! Like Warhorse said, I'm pretty sure you'll fit in here just perfectly!

Greetings!

I've played GW games for over 10 years now. I've played various races, for 40k, but the Space Marines were always my favorite. Though I've played many chapters, the Sons of Russ, have a warm and fuzzy place in my heart.

I'm currently building up a force, making up Ragnar Blackmane's Great Company, who also has a special place in my heart.

Hehe.

I prefer Space Wolves, to other chapters, as I enjoy close combat and close quarter firefights.

I hope you don't mind a crazy female poking around ...

:P :Elite:

Hello,

Ive been playing 40k for about two and a half years now. I originally started with 4th edition and a very small tau army, which did precisely nothing for me but catch bullets. Since then ive tried out most of the armies that GW produces, however i have really only stuck with Chaos, Loyalist marines, and Tank Guard. I really liked the new space marine codex and loved the fluff for the original space wolves but the codex really seemed dated to me, but now with the release f the new codex i am thoroughly enthralled once again. Love the new miniatures and am currently trying to keep up with the painting.

Cheers, Booze all around

Hail and welcome my Brothers, I started Wolves once before and it didnt work out but this time im really going for it, I started them because I love their background no nonsence attitude to authority outside the Fang, and they eat and drink like i do hahaha oh how to be inside the hallowed feasting halls of the Fang i dont have alot of Wolves yet but am Working on it hahaha. The Wolves fluff is great and it fits the world they are based on.

I Bid Farewell to you my Brothers I shall see you on the battlefield.

I have come to join the ranks of the PROUD! I have played 40k for about 5 years now and I decided to start space wolves after starting with tau, then guard then a little bit of dark eldar (meh is all i can say) But decided to stay true to my roots and go wulfen! The main thing that attracts me to something is if i like the models and the fluff (needless to say i shall have many many blood claws...).

FOR RUSS AND THE ALLFATHER!

Hail Brothers!

I've been playing for a while now and had a Space wolf army which ended up going into stasis when my 40k group got disbanded, so i'm not a complete pup! I thought with the arrival of the 'dex that it was time to revive my wolves.

FOR THE WOLFTIME!!

hail my wolf brothers, general new guy here - was formally a chaos space marine player but battleing through the warp i met a few of the space wolf ruffians and i thought, killing looking brutish and ale - all the more reason to become a wolf and the fluff...oh the fluff its amazing as every wolf knows at heart. most of the models are a delight also for a new guy like me to try and paint, ragnar and ulriks poses still a bring down tho ='(

ah well thanks for reading and i hope to make my battlebrothers proud and drink the ales after a glorious victory- ALL HAIL RUSS!

Just joined the forum as a whole, never mind the pups page. I started a 13th company force way back when the Eye of Terror was running. I kept hold of the models and lo and behold a new codex comes along and I'm off again. Even though there is no official 13th company I'm going to stick with the theme, which may be difficult seeing as originally the 13th had no vehicles or dreads and in todays mech environment that could be a problem. Still, no vehicles leaves more points for melta guns

Hail to everybody! Got some ale, heh? Name is Emils, from Latvia. It is funny but my story is similar to the previous brother - Old Git :). 13th Company was my first ever 40K army (been doing WHFB before), and it was one of the two first 40K armies back here. Back then I decided that I want to play Space wolves, but not to have any tanks in the roster. And since 13th Company remains badass in the close combat the choice was obvious. Then at some point of time they were put on the shelf to get some dust and ale. I think now it's time to re-integrate them into SW ranks, add some tanks and give some general trashing to all nasties on the game-table!

Did You know that invoking the name of Russ before rolling Your dices increases Your luck? ;)

Hey folks, I'm Wolf Lord Helmian, also known as Helmian on the IGMB. I just joined after taking a look on this awesome forum. I've decide I'll start a space wolves army because:

1) I love the fluff and background on the space wolves

2)The models are awesome!

3) They're a fun army to play, with lots of character

I'll be posting a list shortly ;)

Hail Brothers!

I've been playing vanilla marines since about 2006, and finally decided it was time for a change. Up until the most recent codex release, I knew nothing about the sons of Russ other than "they're wolfy.". after reading the fluff, and seeing the models, I renounced all vows and oaths to the Codex Astartes, and began planning an army (and brewing some ale!).

Now, technically I'm not playing SW as such,

(Death spectres, see this thread http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=183088 )

they will of course, still be very wolfish (with ale of course)

But nonetheless, I pledge my allegiance to Fenris!

For Russ!

For the wolftime!

P.S: I may do a "proper" SW army after my Death Spectres.

Greetings Fellow Wolves,

Long time Lurker that finally decided to get off my hind quarters and register. I’ve been playing ‘Wolves since 2nd Edition, having started by painting and fielding Wolf Guard Terms in conjunction with my buddy’s Marines. Soon, I had enough that he recommended I paint some Troops and join the game. I’ve played ‘Wolves ever since.

I’ve been collecting my current Great Company for the past 10 years, after losing my first to theft. I run my current ‘Wolves as a GC on the Great Hunt, with a darker coloring of black with light-grey dry brushing. At about 12K (3rd Ed. Codex), I have not re-done the complete Force Org and points build based on the new 'Dex as yet. Though, I have a pretty clean spreadsheet program to help until I get an updated Army Builder file.

My Great Company shares history with Bran Redmaw and the 13th Company. Yea, the new ‘Dex says this is uncouth, but I run my ‘Wolves a little more on the CQC side. Loving the new 'Dex though, and currently working on some Thunderwolf Cav and some new Wolf Guard Terms.

Anyway, I just wanted to say “Hello” before jumping into any other threads.

For the Wolf Time!

For RUSS! ... oh, and the Emperor!

Hail fellow wolf-brothers,

I have played space wolves since the rogue trader days. When second edition came out I build a huge version of Ragnar's company. I played them exclusively for several years, then the friends I played with kind of drifted away from the hobby. I have continued to collect and paint various armies since then, mainly space marines, but haven't had the opportunity to play much as there are no stores or hobby groups anywhere near where I live. I still proudly display a large hand painted SW chapter banner an artist friend painted for me on my office wall.

When I saw the new models I fell in love all over again and have begun amassing my second SW army. I haven't yet settled on a wolf lord but I'm having a blast building them. I have also found a group to play with (unfortunately a 200 mile drive 1 way) so I hope to get my great company into battle soon.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi and to express how excited I am about my return to the fang.
