Chaos Units in Plastic Wishlist

1. Raptors, but only so long as they keep the current jump pack - I've always preferred that to the turbine pack (not to mention there are plenty of tutorials for making decent turbine packs)

2. Cult troops - including Khorne Berzerkers, I don't agree that they look old - but being an old skool player I don't like that they are all wearing MkVII power armour.

They suffer of the old BIG HANDS problem... And the running legs looks goofy like the Berzerkers are dancing or falling =D

That's why I don't use this plastic box anymore.

Yeah, I've made a squad of 8 Berzerkers from my sets, the rest I incorporate in to normal CSM squads, or I'll use them for Chosen, or the running legs for Raptors. I've seen the chests with Chains across them used in Raptor conversions, they look very effective as straps for jump packs! :D

I'd make a list, but I think I can summarize it thusly: Everything that's currently metal.

However, the top five things I'd like to see in plastic would have to be:

1. Chaos Lord in Power Armor. Something like the Space Marine Commander box would be great.

2. Sorcerors, also in power armor. Heck, make it like the Terminator Lord kit where you can make either one. Just have a greater selection of force weapons, please. Sword, axe, glaive, and staff would be a good start.

3. Obliterators. They're our only truly effective Heavy Support choice, making them plastic is the least you could do.

4. Havocs. I want to be free to add heavy weapons to my Chosen at leisure and without too much difficulty, thank you

5. Dreadnaughts. Again, something like the Space Marines Dreadnaught with a selection of sarcophegai (sp?) and all the weapons selections would be awesome.

I don't really get why you all want cult troops in plastic so badly.

Zerkers: Easily fixed. You get truckloads of pistols and chainswords from other sets, just combine them. The legs are really easy repositioned in less awkward stances, too.

NoiseMarines: The current box might not be the best, but you can get a squad of normal Marines and combine them with that little bitzpack. There aren't that many ways to connect a sonic blaster to a marine anyway, so they might just stay metal.

ThousandSons: The box comes with so many parts, it's like already having a plastic set. Torsi, pads, helmets, bolters, arms, all seperate and at least as convertible as any plastic piece.

Deathguard: Same as above.

Since I dare guess that GW's marketing people are thinking along similar lines, I don't think we'll be seeing any plastic cult troops anytime soon.

What DOES really need a remake is the dreadnought. I agree it is cool to convert a loyalist one to chaos, but a box with all the options'd be nice.

Obliterators would also be cool to have, since the metal models are a bit on the uggo side, plus they're a pain to convert. My fear is that GW would not want to miss out on the 20€ bargain they're making right now. What if a squad of three would be 60€?

But what I would really like to see would be a Sorc/Lord set with all the power-armor options plus maybe models for the demonic steeds (even though they're underused and inneffective)

Most of all I'd like to see some plastic Raptors, finally releasing the Prince would be nice and a plastic Havocs set as well would be welcome. Oblits I don't mind at all now or at least the look of them anyways but new ones in plastic just for a lower cost would be nice. All of the Cults in plastic would also be great but honestly I'd just like to see Forge World do Emperor's Children and Thousand Sons conversion kits as their World Eaters and Death Guard kits are gorgeous and both the current ones and if they did Slaanesh/Tzeentch would easily eclipse anything GW would release in plastic. I can understand most wanting them in plastic though as Forge World can be beyond most's budgets.

yeah forge world only loves world eaters D guard i want some plastic emp children 1.000 son's and the unreleased 40k daemon prince and new oblitz but make them like the spawns to where it has a lot of stuff and a new dred

Forge World creates kits according to whats in the current Imperial Armour book, because World Eaters and Death Guard were the focus of the previous Vraks books, we saw resin kits being made. When Slaanesh or Tzeentch become the focus of an Imperial Armour book then we'll see resin kits for them, but who knows when that will be.

And the reason why people want to see plastic cults is, plastic sells better, its easier to work with and its easier to convert, theres more variety with plastic, its also cheaper then metal. Also why have just one kit in plastic, one hybrid kit and 2 metal kits? It just makes sense to have so many different materials making up kits right now. (Then again, this is Games Workshop we're talking about)

But there is already a lot of variety with the sets. How much different would you build Noise Marines, Thousand Sons and Death Guard if their special weapons and additional heads/parts were plastic instead of metal?
