Adeptus Mechanicus

I collect guard, which means I don't post much here. But, I then realised that this forum catered for Adeptus Mechanicus, so I decided that I would post my Tech Priest and Retinue here.

Servitors first. There will be three in total.

Eviscerator

Power Fist and Combat Pistol

The trio together. I should be able to finish them all in one sitting. Just a neatening up job really.

I replaced the Eviscerator blade on this servitor with a more appropriate one.

And started on the Tech Priest, whom is pretty huge. Looks like he will be an exciting model, just from the bare bones.

Those are to small to be eviscerators, and aren’t eviscerators two-handed? Twin eviscerators = servitor with 4 hands :)

Besides that, those guys need more bionics (unless they’re Organicists servitors ) and mechanicus symbols – they look to much like the original renegedes.

Technically they all have servo arms. Normal limitations are meaningless here. And I have always seen the Guard Chainswords to be too massive to count as anything but eviscerators. I mean, they only look normal on Space Marines. Though, I will have piping and so such attaching to them to make them fit the 'high powered' chainsword category. And they will all get Mechanics iconography when I am finished with the main sculpting work.

As for them not being all techy on the outside, I wanted them to be like that. I get fed up of the same old slow, ponderous servitors that have to look like Borg just to make it clear that they are servitors. I wanted these servitors to look like most of their work is internal, which I will show with a metallic/pallid skin tone to reflect their advanced bionics.

Bolter and Chainsword caters for all Adeptus Mechanicus units and, as such, the Adeptus Mechanicus has it's own sub-board.

Though this out to bring about the 3+ joy.

New WIP shot of the Tech Priest. Turns out he is so big that he needs a bigger base to contain his axe accordingly.

Here is a new WIP pic of the tech priest. I gave him part of a renegade commander's face because I thought it looked freakier. I also started work on the arm and axe.
