So what are you ordering

First only the codex.

Then, depending on what i decide to field probably a box of PA wolves or two, Njal, And a Box of Terminators (I really got more of them then i ever field but they look so awesome...). Then i need transports. I got almost 3000 points of wolves and my only transports are a LRC and a LR. I wanted to wait for the new dex to finally decide if i go mech or pod. Lukas and Canis are ugly so i won't get them, but a box of assault marines or devestators might be another option.

Well, got bad news today (need 4 new tires after buying tires april 2008) so I was going to move away from buying all those pods. But then my LGS made great deal on 6 pods so I'm compelled to go with the Godfather like offer.
As it stands now ( I may order more) I am preodering:

4 of the battleforces

Canis

Bjorn (if he is in the first wave)

2 extra power armored wolf packs

2 TDA Wolf Guard

Logan

4 rhinos

2 Land Raiders

2 crusader sprues (and I'm magnetizing my raiders  )

The Codex

3 days off from work (both jobs)

1 Case of Sam Adams Octoberfest

1 Case of Sam Adams Imperial Stout

1 Bottle of caffeine pills (j/k caffeine and booze = bad combo)

And a new set of paintbrushes

4 Boxes of assault marines (for the legs and arms mostly)

3 boxes of devastators

Possible additions:

The new GDub Airbrush kit

Wow who passed away and left you that much money? lol just kiddin. But thats a huge army i dare you to try paint that all in a month :D

Im supporting a local private retailer as opposed to a GW Store.

I will never pay off the shelf retail again. So my purchases will be many and fruitful........and cheap.

See, in a few months, I'll be a private retailer, so I'm not overly inclined to spend a great deal of money at what will be my competition.. :HQ:

Lord Rags: Good luck in your haggling. That many drop pods is a noble effort and I wish you well.

El Scotcho: You may be my new hero....

I'm going to be placing an order probably next week when I've actually got my moneys.

However I've got a query. I've never ordered from Maelstrom or Wayland Games before, always bought in store or online from GW. I was comparing prices earlier with a test list, not my actual order list, but just your average variety of items that might possibly be bought, ranging from cheap to the expensive.

For.

x 2 LRR/LRC

x 4 Space Wolves Pack.

x 2 Devastator Squad

x 2 Razorback

x 1 Codex

£205.8 from Mealstrom Games

£198.78 from Wayland Games.

£239 from Games Workshop

Wayland are cheaper, however is there anything else dividing them from Maelstrom in terms of quality of service?

2 Battle Forces

1 Space Wolf Pack

3 Boxes of Wolf Guard

Njal

Ragnar

Logan

Land Raider Crusader with FW doors and extra armour

A dreadnought when they re-release it or Forgeworld bring out theirs.

I have untold Assault Marine sprues sitting around and a couple of Drop Pods I never assembled.

Out of that I will be able to do my 2 GH packs with Meltas in Pods, Ragnar and Claws in LRC list, as well as my all terminator drop pod army which I will probably finish modelling sometime in 2011

Well I have a little background on my purchases for y'all. First my birthday is in October, and people find me hard to buy for, so I generally receive money as gifts. Second, I have 2 jobs, because I thought I'd need them to pay rent where I live, but both exceeded my expectations as far as hours (and in ones case, tips) are concerned, so I have more money than I'd planned on. And third, these will be spread out over the entire month, not in one lump, so it will be slightly more affordable that way.

@ Florida Gator, no way man I paint too slow and work too much.

@ Grimfoe, thank you very much, I do try to do things right when I start a new army.

Maelstrom are an established business with premises and a bricks and mortar shop. Thus they have stock in and don't have to order it from GW when they receive your order so they can generally get stuff to you quicker.

Also being an established business you as a customer are protected more. And they have 20% off at the moment with their discount code B)

Ah, would you mind providing the code? or is the 20% already included in the basket price?
