heretic??ME?? Posted September 18, 2009 Share Posted September 18, 2009 Ok fluff wise Relictors DO NOT get on with the Grey Knights.... That slight issue with the recent house eviction is just one point. Big glowing antique weapons, books, armor and socks another issue. The pet daemon host in the back garden another with out license is definite no no. Rules wise as the Relictors no longer have access to special rules, they can use Grey Knights, minus a daemon host. I am thinking why not create a Relictors squad like this made up of trainee librarians or along those lines. This can be changed out depending on whether you wanna use D.HOST's Either using the original GK models, removing the icons and adding the Relictors Penitent mark. Or a new squad probably using robed marines, DA or BT bodies and a set of force weapons or daemon weapons and stormbolters. AND A LOAD OF purity seals. heretic??ME?? Posted September 19, 2009 Author Share Posted September 19, 2009 Already have nearly a relictors company on foot, just in the process of mechanizing them for 5th ed. I already have 3 D.hosts, but I feel like like having an alternative. Thinking Im going with 7 Relictors Knight terminators (kinda seven samurai/ maginficent 7 against a daemon attack). The nemesis force weapons on them are petty similar to relic blades in stats (S6 PW), which a lot of Relictors seem to be using as daemon weapons . On the psycannon issue this could be a Kai Gun that the relictors have salvaged. Going to have the squad led by a Librarian with holocaust. Also I think that i'll magnetize the storm bolter's on the wrist and a full set of Storm Shields for interchange. Daemon weapons to count as thunder hammers or Nemesis force weapons depending on the game. However as the official rules for Relictors are now scrapped, rules wise they would only be radical if a Daemon host was added to the army. The idea of using the GK rules as a special Relictors unit is just a method of exploring the divergent nature of the chapter without having to result to either: 1 house rules 2 using the Chaos Codex. By using the GK rules, the points stats etc are legal, its just that I am renaming the model and remodeling(spare GK termies kept at hand for non friendly games). This would not be something that I'd do all the time. When not being used, I can just put in 3 Daemon hosts and INQ.
