Greyhunter77
As I eagerly anticipate the new dex and a horde of new or returning Characters a wave of nostalger washed over me and i thumbed through my 2nd ed codex and reread all of the characters and wondered who was your favourite character? Personally I've always loved the Character and story of Bjorn so I'm very pleased to hear he's going to be available again (I've still got my old metal Bjorn model) The idea that one of the original chosen of Russ is still around standing against the Enemies of Mankind draws me in to the background fluff of the legion. I also love the idea that he armed his Dread self with his favoured BC weapons (At least he did in 2nd ed :P ) So who is your favourite and why? Night Runner
Mine would have to be Logan Grimnar, the Great Wolf himself. I also like WG Ranulf, reputedly one of the largest and strongest SW since the Primarch. He was revamped in a modern version in one of the SW novels as part of Ragnar's Great Company, but it was only a cameo. Does anyone know if he is at least mentioned in the new dex? Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
I would say Bjorn the Fell-Handed, especially after his segment in the Collected Visions. if not him, then Logan Grimnar. for being crazy awesome. Decoy
Bjorn, due to his part in the 2nd Edition Wolf dex. I almost cried when I read it, and that's saying something. Skirnir Ragefang
That Wolfguard who pulled off such an awesome last stand that the orks now revere him as a god of battle, can't remember his name. And Björn, who is the most venerable dude in the galaxy, thats right it is Björn! Freman Bloodglaive
Bjorn the Fellhanded, still living ghost of ancient days. Though the modern take of him being all angst ridden because Russ left him behind makes him a bit too much disaffected Generation X. Skirnir, that's Ranulf, Wolf Guard champion. Decoy
C'mon, Freman. If Russ left -you- behind, wouldn't you be a bit cheesed? Hell, the fact that he left the Wolves at all leaves me a bit cheesed. :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178916-favourite-wolves-character/#findComment-2117053 Share on other sites
Erik Redfang
Since acquiring the new dex, I have to say my favourite is Lukas the Trickster, hands down. He 'accidentally' locked an inquisitor and retinue in a breeding pen full of rutting groxes. He had his second heart cut out by the dark eldar, and was left adrift in space - so he lives, and puts a stasis bomb there as a replacement. He made a prank call to trick an ork warband into a civil war, and lured a Word Bearers Lord into making planetfall on thin ice, drowning hundreds of chaos marines. He is also rumoured to have shared 12 beds in a single night, back in his womanising days before becoming a space wolf. The guy's a complete ass. But he does it so well! Thorgrim Blackwolf
Bjorn, Ranulf and Ragnar hands down. Cheers Thorgrim Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178916-favourite-wolves-character/#findComment-2117075 Share on other sites
Skaldnir
Ulric, hands down. Even angron saluted his martial valor. But, ranulf is a close second... Any guy that can rout an ork horde so badly that they think he is a god is 3 kinds of awesome. Decoy
In for Ranulf, too. He's just awesome. He does what other entire Chapters cannot. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178916-favourite-wolves-character/#findComment-2117084 Share on other sites
Lord Ragnarok
I think my favorite is Bjorn, as he is from the time of the crusades and heresy. But I must admit, I love Ranulf's saga of becoming an ork god the best. Hfran Morkai
Probably Njal because, well he throws bolts of lightning at people! He has a raven! His weapon of choice is a staff. And I believe I will absolutely love his fluff when I get to read it. Wolf Guard Dan
I say Logan. He is just a great leader and I like his attitude when he gets to business. I also like Lukas the Trickster. Keercrevlis
My Favorite will always be Bjorn- Have to love the oldest dog in the yard! Got 2 of the old metal models. Bjorn The Fellhanded & Gjorn The Everlasting, My own Ven Dread, got his name because he took over FIFTY Railgun shots in a game and was still standing at the end of turn 6. After the guy unloaded 20+ into him at the end of his turn 6 he conceded the game!
