Favourite Wolves Character

As I eagerly anticipate the new dex and a horde of new or returning Characters a wave of nostalger washed over me and i thumbed through my 2nd ed codex and reread all of the characters and wondered who was your favourite character?

Personally I've always loved the Character and story of Bjorn so I'm very pleased to hear he's going to be available again (I've still got my old metal Bjorn model)

The idea that one of the original chosen of Russ is still around standing against the Enemies of Mankind draws me in to the background fluff of the legion. I also love the idea that he armed his Dread self with his favoured BC weapons (At least he did in 2nd ed :P )

So who is your favourite and why?

Mine would have to be Logan Grimnar, the Great Wolf himself. I also like WG Ranulf, reputedly one of the largest and strongest SW since the Primarch. He was revamped in a modern version in one of the SW novels as part of Ragnar's Great Company, but it was only a cameo. Does anyone know if he is at least mentioned in the new dex?

Bjorn the Fellhanded, still living ghost of ancient days.

Though the modern take of him being all angst ridden because Russ left him behind makes him a bit too much disaffected Generation X.

Skirnir, that's Ranulf, Wolf Guard champion.

Since acquiring the new dex, I have to say my favourite is Lukas the Trickster, hands down.

He 'accidentally' locked an inquisitor and retinue in a breeding pen full of rutting groxes. He had his second heart cut out by the dark eldar, and was left adrift in space - so he lives, and puts a stasis bomb there as a replacement. He made a prank call to trick an ork warband into a civil war, and lured a Word Bearers Lord into making planetfall on thin ice, drowning hundreds of chaos marines. He is also rumoured to have shared 12 beds in a single night, back in his womanising days before becoming a space wolf.

The guy's a complete ass. But he does it so well!

Which suggests that Space Wolves aren't following the fluff of recruiting Marines in their early teens.

Ooooh I like him. He may be worthy of fielding just for fluff lol.

That guy sounds like a SW version of Loki the scandinavian trickster god.

I've actually gotta say Haegr the Mountain. Dude was just so well written and even after reading the SW books like 5 times, I still actually catch myself laughing at his dialogue.

HOW DID I FORGET HAEGR THE MOUNTAIN!?!?!

he would thrash me for such stupidity...

this last bit makes him sound like the comedian Russel Brand

My Favorite will always be Bjorn- Have to love the oldest dog in the yard! Got 2 of the old metal models. Bjorn The Fellhanded & Gjorn The Everlasting, My own Ven Dread, got his name because he took over FIFTY Railgun shots in a game and was still standing at the end of turn 6. After the guy unloaded 20+ into him at the end of his turn 6 he conceded the game!
