ChainsawDR
hi all, I've only seen pics of Canis online but it seems that his wolf is MASSIVE! Although it has been enhanced, surely this means that the other Fenrisian wolves in an army need to be of a similar, if slightly smaller, size? What wolf models do you intend on using, not only for your fenrisian wolves, but also your thunderwolves? Any pics of your wolves and the manufacturer would be welcomed. Decoy
Aye, Canis is generally a big boy. I'll be scratch-building my own wolves and TWC; Chaos Hounds as a nice base for bulked up Fenrisian Wolves, and I have NO clue what I'm going to do for the TWC, other than it'll be looking like a Wulfen the size of a Dreadnaught, with no rider, capable of standing on all fours and decked out in armor. Fifteen of those buggers is going to be a pain in my wallet... Night Runner
I've been reading on the forums that there might be several species of wolves on Fenris, varying in size. It's said that the wolf Canis is riding (the one that looks like a jolly husky on the trot) is a Blackmane; they can grow to be as big as rhinos, while the Thunderwolves tend to be as big as horse. Then there are the pack wolves. I cannot confirm or deny any of this info, since I haven't seen the codex, but if it's true then the TWC needn't be as large as Canis' wolf. MaveriK
pg. 31 of the new codex talks about Fenrisian Wolves and the sheer diversity of wolves the exist upon Fenris. These range from the common but nonetheless deadly Fenrisian Wolf, to the hulking Blackmaned Wolf, all the way up to the infamous Thunderwolf. Fenrisian Wolves range from man-sized to the size of a snow lion. pg. 54 Canis rides Fangir, a Thunderwolf. As strong as a mastodon, and as tall as a ice troll. Growler67
There is this from a little while back: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/index.p...howtopic=153097 I can wait for the second wave to see if GW produces models for this option, otherwise I'll take a look at what is available elsewhere and mod as needed.
