BlOoD_GoD
Hi all. Recently i got some 600GSM card from my local newsagency and set about building a building a BT building for the new army im going to be collecting. When its finished and use on the battle field it has 1 special rule, If a Black Templar playedr has atleast 1 HQ and 1 Troop choice, or 1 Elite and 2 Troop choices, their leadership gains +1, if another army (excluding Spacemarines and Sisters of Battle) has 1 HQ and 1 Troop/ 1 Elite and 2 Troop, the Black Templar gain -1 leadership. Before i post pics, i need some help deciding what armour value it should have, should it be 16 all round or 20 all round. There may be no back wall, but there is, I just didnt put one on so you could put troops in there ( I'll make a back wall later on ). Ok, on to the pics! ( its put together but ill post assembled pics tomorrow, I have to much Super-Glue fumes in my eyes. ). Tybrus
Max AV is 14 so at 14 all around bad enough. The rules you have listed seem a bit strage. I would make it more simple. Like If the build is controled then you Can reroll one leadership roll a turn or something. There are some great upgrades you can give it from Planetstrike rules. If you really want to make it Marine like build it with like Bunker/Bastion/Guard Houses on the front corners and then make the build have 3 locations each bastion thing and the main CP. Just my thoughts can't wait to see more pics... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178969-bt-command-building/#findComment-2117951 Share on other sites

Tybrus
Really nice work. When you paint are you going to texture it to look like stone? BT's always have a rock and stone feel for Keeps and CP's to me. BlOoD_GoD
hmm, im not sure, if i can i might get some rough coat and then paint it. Never thought about that. Heres a fact, I went through 3 small tubes of super cglue to complete this building. Iron Phoenix
Looking good! Heres a fact, I went through 3 small tubes of super cglue to complete this building. Then you're using too much. Did you forget "a drop will do?" also, you dont need to paste the whole edge; a tack every few inches is more than enough to hold scenery unless you want it ultra-rugged. Personally I'm thinking that some steel ribbing and reinforcement especially along the base level would not be amiss :). Lavaman
IMO this is nowhere near ready for paint, you need to detail it up... forget about roughcoat too, some fine sand, pva and cheapo black poster paint mixed together will look alot better. Good luck with finishing the build Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/178969-bt-command-building/#findComment-2119278 Share on other sites
Messanger of Death
I agree with the post above that it isn't ready for painting. It looks like the shell of the building at the moment needing extra details to make it look more gothic and templar. For example you could make slight change to turn the doors and windows into arches and the use of templar crosses from the upgrade spruce could also help. Should turn out great with some extra details. Cheers, Messanger Edit - some other little extras could be banners hung up on the walls and shields from the fantasy range. Could look for suitable statues (like in the Lord of the Rings Terrain Package).
