Byrne
Hello, I am converting some thunderwolves for the cavalery, but I realize I don´t know what size base to put them on. Should they have "terminator" size base OR "Bloodchrusher/monster" size base or should they have the same as for bikes?? Any idea? Wolf Guard Dan
It makes sense to me to use the monster size bases if thats what bloodcrushers use but it says in codex don't try to use big bases on canis to get extra attacks. I guess wait two weeks and see what size base canis uses. You won't be fielding these units until then anyways Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/179034-thunderwolf-and-base-size/#findComment-2118184 Share on other sites
Wolfpriest
Well its says with the pre-order information on the games workshop site that Canis Wolfborn comes on the 60mm base, which would be the blood crusher/monstrous creature/dreadnought base. Since he is the only model that you can currently get from games workshop on a Thunder wolf mount i would use that as the base size for any thunder wolf models that you make. Those are the ones that i am personally using for the ones that i am converting. twistinthunder
use a 60mm base. i was thinking of (if they dont release them till the second wave) converting canis wolfborn into just thunderwolf cavalry. Forseti
how about getting some WIP of these conversions. Is a bit early to be asking for WIPs of thunderwolves based off Canis when there's still 2 weeks til it's out. twistinthunder
also it was a 'thinking of' it might not actually happen since it would cost £125+ for 1 5 man squad (the '+' being conversion parts) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/179034-thunderwolf-and-base-size/#findComment-2118250 Share on other sites
Grey Mage
IF you convert from Canis himself... wich frankly would be silly for that exact reason. Byrne
My convertions is based from the High Elf lions, a sharp knife and some greenstuff can get them close enough to pass for wolves.... ant they are just big enough to ride on, tall as a marine. Ragnars Claw
I'm going to use juggers and convert them up. As for base size, i'll probably put mine on 40mm bases if it fits. Bloodyhandedgod
Canis is on a 60mm base states in rules not to think about puting him on anything bigger - gonna guess the rest of the cavalry are the same size bases Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/179034-thunderwolf-and-base-size/#findComment-2118778 Share on other sites
