There's no entry for it, to my knowledge, so he'd be stuck with his pistol. That's just hilarious. I may model a ruddy bolt pistol onto his bloody staff, just for kicks. Hehehe. Are you telling me that if I pop Njal from the lead rhino of a squad of six, maybe eight, why not? Ten Rhinos, cast Storm Caller, ALL other units within 6", measured from the base of the Njalrhino, are in Cover? Meaning that a squad of ten Rhinos can suddenly be shielded, ALWAYS be in cover, and just zoom along the board with impunity? o.O THAT just seems like the most broken thing in the Codex. Although it could be done if he was in a rhino, granting Skyclaws cover, maybe, as they moved forward... ... Or damn. If you spaced it right, every infantry squad in the army. Heh. Rhinos are a squad of 1, IC are a squad of 1, this is even talked about in the main rule book about characters joining eachother.... or was this a FAQ.... grrr cant think mind on start of school :( too much ale. Rhinos and Independent characters are not squads. They are units. There is a difference between a squad (or pack) and a unit. Good call then, Hilander, good call. If you spaced it right, every infantry squad in the army. Heh. That's just broken, it really is. Decoy, it really isn't all that broken. It's just a 5+ Cover Save, after all. Most of the time those units are going to use their standard 3+ Armor Save. The only time they would ever use the Cover Save is when attempting to save versus a low AP (1, 2, or 3) weapon. Most folks save their high-strength/low AP shooting for enemy Tanks and Terminators, and only shoot at regular Marines when they've got no other viable targets. Hell, 5th edition is all about 4+ Cover Saves for everyone anyway, so even though Storm Caller can be helpful, I certainly wouldn't call it broken (especially since it doesn't work on vehicles).
