Updating old Blood Angel army

Brother Tancred

Recommended Posts

I've been going through my BAs army since getting Space Hulk and decided to update some of my old model which either aren't painted very well or I don't like the look of the model's pose.

This is a sergeant for my assault squad, I'll post pictures of the older one when I find it. His pose is enspired by Brother Scipio from space hulk except he is tearing into a tank to get to the enemy inside.

I always like to add a helmet clipped to the belt as it adds more detail or at leased a broken one on the floor as if they have taken a hit and pulled it off. Yeah I just find it easier to paint the two parts seperatly and glue it on later.

Yeah true that, i would imagine a crouching marine wearing a jump pack would be a nightmare to try and paint every nook and cranny!

I wanted to do a squad of Deathcompany with no helmets, but all discarded on the floor and pistols still holstered, rushing forward but i haven't found enough good heads. Maybe on the new space wolves sprue because like the space wolves, i don't think Deathcompany would shave :)

Before(one of the first Blood Angels I ever painted)
