I had genuinely forgotten....

How much I actually love modelling Space Wolves. I haven't played them since the Axe Morkai gave you +D3 for fumbles and Ragnar's Dodge save didn't count as an invulnerable, but I thought as this new codex release took so long and has become such a memorable release I would return to the first army I ever collected way back around 14 years ago.

I haven't even been able to wait until this Games Day to start assembling and kit bashing stuff and it has been the most fun I have had in years. I actually love trying to find new heroic poses and cool little trinkets and touches to individualise every model. I can't wait to get my hands on the new plastic boxes and integrate them into the gene pool of bitz and kits I am splicing together to get my Great Company together. I even dusted off my 13th Co. for a revamp also!

I've never really got this sort of sense of gratification from the modelling aspect with any of the subsequent forces I have collected so it is great to rediscover that once more. I am seriously considering using them in the next rounf if I get through the GT Heats.

They were also my first and only 40k army. I still read my 2nd edition codex at times. I've gone off the game, though did model a few guardsmen after reading the Gaunt series. I've waited over a decade for a new codex, and it looks like this will drag me back into playing 40k again, and modelling in general.
