Night Runner
An interesting approach, but not the way I would play. I'd prefer the cheaper SkyC or SwiftC instead, for 250pts you can get two units and better outflanking opportunities. Besides TWC are going to attract all your enemy fire, believe it. I'd also invest in a unit of at least 3 WG for your GH packs. The Ld9 will insure you don't fail any counter-charge rolls besides giving you a punch in CC. W.r.t HQ why not try a Wolf Priest with one of your BC packs. They get prefered enemy and you will still be able to shoot within 6 inches of the enemy. Whatever you choose play hard and fair for the glory of Russ and his Wolves! Yeti
A very decent list. Very fast and "in your face", just like wolves should be. Two things I'd change: 1) Drop the BCs to 10 and put them in a rhino, otherwise they'll be totally left behind the rest of the army. Also, drop the meltas and get a power weapon/Fist into the packs. BCs can't shoot worth a crap, if you're going to give them a special shooting weapon, make it a flamer. 2) Re-arrange the specials on the GH packs. Go 2xplasma and 2xmelta. Shoot the melta packs as far forward as they'll go, melt something and charge. Use the plasma packs to sit on objectives and/or provide mid-range fire support. Mixing the packs like that leaves you with either one gun you can't shoot (plasma if you want to charge) or one that is likely out of range (melta for fire support). I'd also consider getting Wolf Totems on packs with meltas ... cheap and more than worth the points. Check out the other thread where they're discussed.
