Vassakov Posted September 27, 2009 Share Posted September 27, 2009 Ok, I acknowledge that all the Nordic mythos stuff is a little obscure - but let us not beat around the bush: This hobby, this thread and indeed this army idea are nothing if not a series of convoluted injokes that only a tiny group of people will ever appreciate. Therefore it should be embraced, and not shied away from. Wolfwing, whilst perhaps a perfect summary feels to me too cheap and too much of a cut'n'paste from the Deathwing to fully encapsulate the army. The Deathwing are broadly speaking "just" Terminators, and a pure Deathwing army is just that. A Wolf Guard army can be so, so much more and the name should reflect this. Yes, you can only take TDA (and you should at least once, preferably vs the DW player :P ) but you've got so much more than the Deathwing - Bikes and Jump Packs can be taken, Dreadnoughts and Lone Wolves fit the mythos of this force perfectly. Wolfwing is, to this Wolf too easy, too stale, too cliched. Hell, it's just too Codex. You can call them anything you like but it's likely that when you explain it, the person you're talking to is going to say: "Oh, you mean 'Wolfwing'" :P.
