A bike squad of 5 strong or more may be taken as a troops choice if you include a captain on bike... obviously troops score so bobs your mothers brother.

Indeed, page 54. Would be bikers remember that the requirement is 5 models, so the smallest unit size that can be a troops choices is either 5 bikers, or 4 bikers and a attack bike.

Rhinos dont score, and theyre troops :P.

So Im taking it that the ONLY scoring rules are found on pg 90, and thus anything not restricted there can be scoring?

Yup, though other rules (e.g. Kantors Hold the Line) can modify these requirements or exeptions so allowing non-Troops to score or if such a rule existed (non)troop vehicles to score.

Ravenwing Land Speeders, Ork Deff dreads :P

IIRC Deff Dreads are taken as Troops choices, but being a vehicle still aren't scoring (BRB pg 90).

As for Ravenwing Land Speeders, are they troop choices, and/or have a special rule allowing them to score?

No it wasn't, the FAQ removed the line making units scoring if they were at 50% or higher model count.

DA Codex Pg. 27 "...they always operate as completely independent scoring units of one model."

This is unchanged, the Attack Squadron's Land Speeder is still scoring ,the support squadron's are not.

Incorrect. If it's taken as a Troops choice, it's scoring. Codex over rulebook.

Does it say anywhere in the Ork codex that if Deff Dreads are taken as a Troops choice they're scoring?

No. They are a vehicle troops choice and therefore not scoring.

Crazy. What's the point of taking one as a Troops choice then?

And fillig up a mandatory Troops slot if you aren't worried about objectives.

Or having a really fun and fluffy "March of the Khans" orky army.

Also, Rhinos are NOT troops. They are transports that can carry (certain) scoring units. It is the scoring unit carried that enables the rhino to score, not the rhino itself.

If taken as the transport for a Tactical squad, BA JPless assault squad, C:CSM troops squad, etc they count as a "troops choice" that doesnt take up a slot- much as a command squad is an HQ choice that doesnt take up an HQ slot. Theyre not scoring because they are vehicles.

Sorry, its been a while since I saw the thread, and I dont play DA. Thanks for the heads up.

Rhinoes ARE troops if taken as a dedicated transport for a troops choice. See dedicated transports, pg 87. The reason they are not scoring is because they are vehicles. This is primarily important on missions like dawn of war, where a tac squad in a rhino would count as both troop choices you are allowed to deploy at the start of the game.
