I haven't GOT it. I've READ it. And from what people here have said, not many other people have.

Actually, sadly, Im one of the few members of the Fang that hasnt read it. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt however and figure your misread the wording.

If your right, well you can expect my humble apology on saturday.

I'm not going to be bothered posting pages-especially as I can't remember the specific page. I was too busy drooling over Bjorn The fell Handed's godliness. Just read the Codex when you get it.

If you cant back it up with some kind of evidence then I can say I believe you. Are you sure youve got the codex? Because this is like the fifth thing youve been contradicted on.

Allow me to quote the SW codex then.

Page 60, in the Wargear description for Wolf Claws it states that "A Wolf Claw is a lightning claw that allows the wielder to either re-roll his To Hit rolls or re-roll his To Wound rolls".

Notice it doesn't say it is "like" a lightning claw or it "behaves" as a lightning claw. It specifically says that a wolf claw IS a lightning claw with additional rules.

I think it's very clear on the subject, Wolf Claws are Lightning Claws and therefore can only ever get a +1A when paired with another Wolf Claw. Theoretically one could argue that you can use a Wolf Claw and a Lightning Claw together and get the bonus attack, however regular lightning claws are not an option in the SW codex, plus the Wolf Claws are better anyway.

Again, don't bother trying to cheese it, you have to get the second wolf claw if you want to bonus, end of story.

That is the quote Ive been seeing online and hearing about from out of town friends for the last couple of weeks. Im much more inclined to believe it than something that contradicts the core rules.

Anyone else like to confirm? I see we have alot of readers at the moment.

I have read it, and saw nothing that overrides the rulebook restriction on powerfists/thunderhammers.

Kreidian's quote of Wolf Claws is correct. By my reading if you could legally take a lightning claw and wolf claw on the same model, that would give the +1 attack.

Same here. Everything was described as it is in C:SM apart from the SW only wargear and the additional rules for the Wolf Claws.

I'm glad somebody turned up with a quote as I don't think this thread would have lasted much longer without it :D .

Cheers

my codex just arrived today and I can confirm that wargear entry says it is a variant of the lighting claws, and that they are used most effectively in pairs.

agreed! it also says the following

pg 60. Wolf Claws

wolf claws are heavily armoured gauntlets with curved, razor-edged talons sheathed in a rippling power field. Used most effectively in pairs, wolf claws are angled to echo the talons of the wolf.

Indeed I have the dex in front and will connfirm the above lol second nowere doseit say we gain aditional attacks for having a powerfist / thunderhammer and a pistol or other CC weapon. Only with another powerfist or thunderhammer. Infact it says see rulebook for there effects and rules...

Hahaha. Pup? Insolence. I have been playing SW since 2nd edition. Anyway-I take Codex Facts over the rulebook-and once you read the new codex you'll see why.

And posting here since yesterday. I'm no veteran wolf, but I would advise you mind that you're a guest in someone else's house here so to speak.

So he was mistaken about something. Big deal. We've all made mistakes (and if you say you haven't, you're a liar). Surely we can move on, instead of further heckling the guy, right?

No, it wasn't a mistake, he's had several posts blatently wrong. Trolls must be BURNED!!! Then eaten ;)

Exactly. This is the FANG! We play rough, but we're all brothers. Outright jerking any of us around is frowned upon. Severly.
