BDS
I read the recent BR in the new WD featuring SW (great read and battle btw) and picked up a tidbit I must confirm. Under the SW army selection section it had a "sneaky" trick....take Mark of the Wulfen on a guy armed with a TH. Can anyone confrim this is legal? I know the "uh-ohs" that frequently occur in the WD so am asking here. If this turns out to be true....look out, gonna have to get me one or two of those!! and if true....doe that mean that your PF guy can take Mark of the Wulfen in your GH squads?! This would equal awesome. The rending attacks were game turners in my second test game.....scout penned a Defiler, GH two wounds on a CSM sorceror, GH two wounds on Nurgle DP. Will be checking frequently for an answer and checking the codex tomorrow at lunch. Theodus
He is wrong, in fact it specifically states in the Codex that the attacks from Mark of the Wulfen are made by the attackers claws and teeth not any of his wargear. Essentially Cruddace has gone "I've bought this expensive hammer, oh well" so no. He's not getting seven TH attacks, just seven standard attacks. AdeptusDavidus
This has come up a time or two on the SW forum here, and so far the consensus has been that while you could give any number of special CCWs to a MoW model, the d6+1 attacks are made with "claws and teeth", and aren't affected by wargear. BDS
Well, that is how I read it as well. My intepretation was momentarily shaken by the GW article. Gotta love GW. The guy who wrote the codex is.....etc., etc. Ok, then, moving on. Overall I could not be happier with the SW codex in general.
