no healing potions and balms?

just got my codex and started on a new list only to find we have no apothecary type power for our wolf priests anymore. i had not read this in any of the rumours so far and am mightily annoyed, my extensivley converted wolf priest on trike with special gubbinz to make him look all doctory seems a waste of effort. the fluff is still there for it but there is no longer a wolf version of the apothecary rules wise. do we know if this was some sort of balancing issue or merely an oversight on the part of the writers?

Yup.

 

Add a Wolf Priest in TDA to a unit of 10 WG in TDA with SS.

 

A unit that is Fearless, has Prefered Enemy, 2+ Armour Save, 3+ Invulnerable save and a 4+ Feel No Pain save on top of that.

 

Also add Ragnar for furious charge and +D3 attacks that unit would walk over anything in combat

Could even add Ulrik the slayer for re rolls vs T5+.

 

Ulrik, Logan, Ragnar, Wolf Priest leading 10 WG. Is that the most expensive/powerful unit possible in the game? Could even ditch the terminator armor on the WG and stick them all in a crusader.

 

Now thats something to try in Apocalypse

Yeah, quite the dream team, but we are talking 800 points of HQs add in 300 for WG and 250 for crusader and now you have 1350 points all in one nice little egg. So yes, I think you do win the most expensive unit in the game prize.

 

I agree with Radu, we got robbed with having no apothecary type power. Anything that has a decent ability costs 250ish points.
