Scratch Raider

Chompers

Recommended Posts

Got a little project on the go, building a land raider. Problem is closest thing I own to a tank is a dreadnought, so I'm not sure whether its the right size (approximately). Bit late to change it now if the sizings off but it'd be great to know for next time (threw a marine in with the pics for scale).http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy255/chompers99/IMG_1799.jpghttp://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy255/chompers99/IMG_1798.jpg

I actually think its a little tall, usually a marine can't walk through the front hatch, that looks like he could stroll right on threw just fine.

I wouldn't worry a ton about scale like that. Unless your playing the worlds most observant Fluff nazi, or you actually mention it. You should be fine

Just make sure your close enough

Good luck Fellow!

Well I was expecting to be considerably further along with this thing by now, but I've found that I tear more pieces off than I glue back on. Now that the majority of the body is shaped out, I've abandoned the templates, have been finding it easier to just work from pictures of finished raiders. Deviated from the plans with the treads a bit, but I wanted to make them a bit more in line with real tread (plus the thought of cutting out dozens of tread pieces from plasticard gives me the shivers). Hopefully I'll be into the fun stuff (guns) pretty quick. C&C welcome. http://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy255/chompers99/IMG_1802.jpghttp://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy255/chompers99/IMG_1803.jpghttp://i797.photobucket.com/albums/yy255/chompers99/IMG_1804.jpg
