Grey Mage
Anyone know how to properly do indents on this board? Its always annoyed me. She is good, SHE will make it all better. Pain! Pain bad. So itchy-scratchy. He looked down in horror and mystery at the red dots that covered his naked body. His eyesight wasnt very good, and the room he was in was massive. The itching was overwhelming but there was nothing he could do. He tried to scratch but was to weak to keep it up for long. It just came back worse. He heard her voice in the next room, "Jermiah I feel so bad, theres nothing I can do for him". She sighed, "He just seems like hes in so much... pain". "Im sure hell be ok, really hell get through this. I love him to you know but we cant just brood about his catching it." "Hes so smart though, I know he expects me to be able to help him..." "Hell be fine, I promise." "Jeremiah people have DIED!" She started to weep, "dont you understand, people have died from this this past year. I dont want him to die, I couldnt stand it... I just couldnt." "Come on Cindy, lets go to the parlor and have a drink and talk. We wouldnt want to wake him, he needs his strength". Die... die means never come back. I dont want go to GO. Someone, help me I dont want not come back. Anyone! Ill do whatever it takes, I will I will I will. Will you be my friend? You feel funny. Where are you? You can make me not have to go? Im your Grandpa, and Im always here. I can make sure you stay here with her. Can you make the red things go away? I Can. I want to be your friend then. Good. Thats all I ever wanted John. I love you. *** "A message for the Lord, we have a call for aid from Seleimus III. The Arbites citadel. They say the local Governor has declaired the independance from the imperium." "We are the closest?" "Yes sire Thorgrim, the Cadian 999nth are inbound, and the 63 Catachan, both easily two months out. We can be there in just under three weeks". "You have a proposal Im sure." The young Thrall passed a small packet that was truely dwarfed in size by the grey-clad astartes hand that came forth to receive it. "Yes sire, this is every peice of information I could find on the planet and its forces as of the last tithing." "Good, the Stormwolf has been itching for a fight." "Of course. He is a warrior born." "That he is, return to your station Dreyfur" The young thrall saluted, "Yes sire" and walked out of the room swiftly. He never spoke of what happened that day at 16:38 ship time, but he never forgot it. Wolf Gaurd Thorgrim knew my name. *** Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180182-just-a-story/ Share on other sites

Vlk
Nice idea, I just don't really like the non-wolfy names... John, Cindy and Jeremiah? Sounds more like American TV series (no offense). Grey Mage
Nice idea, I just don't really like the non-wolfy names... John, Cindy and Jeremiah? Sounds more like American TV series (no offense). Theyre not fenrisian, why would they have wolfy names? John had always been a strange child. He was incapable of cleaning anything for instance, though who could tell? As the son of the planetary governer he was never forced to. Any who might have noticed doubtless assumed it was simply beneath him. He was never sick, so obviously despite the strange messes he brought back with him he must be a superbly healthy child. His parents were loving people and faithful in the emperor. They taught him to respect his elders and his ancestors. Particularly his grandfather, the late Nigel Thorrell, who had secured for his family the seat of planetary governor. He had gone to school at the finest of academies. He was a master of tank strategies and had an instinctual understanding of biology. In short he was a prodigy, and his parents could not have been more proud. It was whispered that when he took the High Seat from his father Seleimus III would have the finest ruler in a dozen sectors. He was 32 when his father died of a mysterious illness. His mother was offworld, on a diplomatic trip to Seleimus IV to check on food production and confirm the Lord Thorrells faithfullness to his offworld subjects. John declared a week of mourning for his father, and wore black for an entire year in his fathers honor. The day after the anniversery of his fathers death, John Thorrell, Lord of the Seleimus Systems declared the Imperial Cult to be heretical and had every priest on the planet executed. A day later he declaired idependance from the Imperium and the beggining of a new age for his people. It might have taken years for this treachery to go unnoticed, were it not for Sul'ahn Aerai, head Mistress of the Adeptus Astropathica's dying message. Fifteen hundred noble Arbites gave their lives that day that she might speak on behalf of a damned world. Many said later that they were lucky to have died so soon. *** Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180182-just-a-story/#findComment-2133398 Share on other sites
Vlk
I didn't say they should have wolfy names. I mentioned them as "non-wolfy" names and I meant "the names of those non-fenrisian guys" It's just that John, Cindy and Jeremiah don't really fit in my conception of WH40K universe... just saying.
