avatar8481
MoW only seems to effect attacks in close combat and so you'd still get your 3++ in shooting and in response to attacks in CC. That seems non-controversial, but maybe I'm missing something. Natanael
I had three games today with the LW. I had two w/ TDA, SS, TH/PF (one each) and they were amazing. Got up against Mech Nurgle/Khorne, Tyranids and Daemons. In the first game thye TH/SS one killed a Khorne Prince, made his raptors get out of my way, and the second one stomped a berzerker squad and then helped holding the raptors up for 3 full turns. Second game on of them took a round of shooting and was killed, saving my BCs from dying. The other one took a hormagaunt charge, took no wounds and sent them running. Third game one held up, and put a wound on, Fateweaver for 2 full turns, while the other one fought a Blood Thirster for as long (put a wound on him too) before being slain by a squad of Bloodletters. The first one then proceeded to run away, rally, and charge the BT =D Heroic endings all over the place =D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180242-the-lone-wolf/page/3/#findComment-2141966 Share on other sites

Natanael
Nah, he's own choice is to stay an LW. To bad for me (or not ) But in other words: I'm gonna keep playing my LWs. Adding a 3rd one to my list now, and gonna see how it fares against more list. Since I'm running a foot-slogging list, I think they work very well to take care of scary CC units the enemy has got. Uthred Ragnarson
Nah, he's own choice is to stay an LW. To bad for me (or not ) he still seeks to redeem the honour of his lost pack, maybe one day... lol Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180242-the-lone-wolf/page/3/#findComment-2141986 Share on other sites
Natanael
Yeah, I guess so. Anyway, I'd suggest the rest of you guys try them out. A tip tough: don't leave home without TDA & SS. They work wonders. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180242-the-lone-wolf/page/3/#findComment-2142758 Share on other sites
antique_nova
you were lucky to be playing those lists. play a very mobile mech army and your LW will not see a flicker of action if your opponent in cunning enough ^^. except orks that is :). thanks antique_nova Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180242-the-lone-wolf/page/3/#findComment-2142796 Share on other sites
Natanael
Yeah, that is my great fear. But if I manage to pop a few transports from the mobile list, my LW should be able to get to grips with the enemy. If now, well, he is an 85p, hard-to-kill, meatshield for my other guys. They have to shoot him sometime :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180242-the-lone-wolf/page/3/#findComment-2142898 Share on other sites

Sintrix
I plan on fielding two, very different Lone Wolves. Brother Helvark embodies the rage and fury of the lone survivor. A Grey Hunter, he survived the massacre of Kasso VI when a traitor battlecannon round left him crippled and wounded. His squad pressed on and were wiped out. Suffering survivors guilt, he relentlessly throws himself into Forlorn Hope actions and yet survives. He wears a suit of mighty Terminator Armour and fights with a pair of matched Wolf Claws, testimony to the reverence and pity his earning carving out a bloodsoaked saga. Many in the company pray he finds peace before the werecurse consumes him forever. Few expect this to be the case. Brother Valko is the last survivor of a pack that saw over centuries of battle. He has earned his place in the Wolf Guard a score of times, yet chooses the path of a lone wolf. He is the Knight-Champion of Morkai, sworn to seek the hardiest of the enemies and fell them with Frost Blade and Storm Shield. Clad in the armour of the Gods, he is intractable and relentless. Maybe one day he will view his oath to his fallen pack mates fulfilled and accept the honour of the Wolf Guard. Only he knows when this shall be, however. Pretty fricken awesome right there! :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180242-the-lone-wolf/page/3/#findComment-2143105 Share on other sites
