jeremy1391
ok so I have the wife preordering a bunch of the new wolves boxes along with other stuff for when i get home from my "business trip" in the middle east over the next 10 months, so i was thinking about also getting a warhound titan to accompany my wolves in apocalypse, the money is not an issue, but the question is would this be seen as "wolfy" or should i take that money an invest in some other stuff..... Sharpsilver
Most Space Marine chapters/Imperial Forces are usually backed up by Titans during planetary Invasions or major campaigns. So I see no problem with you adding one to support your Wolves. You could do something along the lines saying they have a close relationship with with your Great Company, just as the Navigator house the Wolflblade Serve. And visa Versa. You could adorn it with some Icongraphy/Wolf Pelts to make it look more wolfy. El Scotcho
I was thinking of incorporating 2-3 myself, and wolfing them up. Act like they were leftovers from the Great Crusade, hidden in a bunker somewhere in the middle of Asaheim, paint stripped off, and my Wolf Lord found the hidden bunker, so he gets to keep'em (you know, finders keepers and all). I wonder, do you think a Iron Priest could control a Warhound by himself, since he's more physically and mentally capable than a normal human? It requires specific training and "wetware" to pilot a titan. Its not like you could just plop down and start driving the thing. Besides, I doubt an Iron Priest could fit his enormous arse in the seat. B) Thanks, AnarchX Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180250-thinking-of-adding-a-titan/#findComment-2134468 Share on other sites
RedMoon
Actually if memory serves me correctly the wolves actually have a warhound that was a gift from the addeptus mechanicus for saving a forge world, and they have pieces of a reaver titan as well. Zemox
I love the idea about titans, there are like fifty diffrent turtorials on how to make them, so i might make one myself, imagine a whole great company backed up by a titan, that would have been an absoloutley stunning sight, i am just going to find a fluffy way of incorporating it into my fluff, that pretty much supports a no veichle army since everything was destroyed when the "wulfen" crashed into a planet. Well i would say go for it, titans are stunning i would definatley include at least one :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180250-thinking-of-adding-a-titan/#findComment-2134763 Share on other sites
PKAwolf
Titans (Warhound or not) have never to me, seemed Wolfy or even space mariny either. I always picture them in large planatary invasions were several parts of the imperial arm are required for success. Its piloted by humans and usually in support of the IG. I dont see it only escorting a marine chapter by itself for many fluff reasons. Wolfy? No Buy it anyways? Hell Yeah! Hfran Morkai
Well Titans are deployed in support of Imperial vforces so it's not hard to imagine a Titan attached to a Marine Battlegroup for a campaign/pivotal battle. Narsil the Death Dealer
There was mention of a titan legion fighting along side the space wolves many a time in the Ragnar book, "Grey Hunter". Here's all the info I have.... Princeps Lothar Ironheart: "destroyed three ork Gargants in the battle which had cost him most of his humanity" and that he and his titan legion has fought alongside the wolves on several occasions. Also the legion is from the Salonus FW and that's very close to Garm (Shrine of Garm). I was trying to find out more info also on this very subject to no avail. I just wanted to know what Titan Legion is on the Forge World Salonus so I can get a banner and color scheme. rodgers37
Has anyone made a Titan before? I really want to, but not sure how to do it, if anyone has any pics, info or links, they would be much appriciated. Narsil the Death Dealer
sweet if you have a pic or link of the solanus paint scheme and banner i would love to see it Alas there are no known paint schemes for this particular titan legion. If someone has an old copy of the codex titanicus it might be in there. I think though that it probably won't be. As most of the schemes of the known titan legions from that book are online. This legion was probably made up more recently and there hasn't been a banner or color scheme made up yet!
