morcus
I've not seen the new codex yet and was wondering if the Leman Russ Exterminator, or any other variant, was still an option? odinswolf
yeah and what about the land raider capacity only being 10? I know the other marine codexes (DA,BT) have 10 also but the last Ultramarine codex had it increrased to 12! Do the wolves etc have less room in their raiders?? stinkenheim
we have no leman russ, or a special variant vehicle as was rumoured a while back. as for the landraider/drop pod, it has been said in other posts that GW messed up with C:SM and the transport was only ever meant to be 10 in them. By the time they noticed it had gone to print and was too late to rectify. all other stand alone marine codexes will have a capacity of 10, and in a few months when C:SM gets redone so will they. Lord Rao
The transport capacity of 12 for the LR (and DP, for that matter) was, and this was even stated in the designer's notes for C:SM in WD at the time, because he wanted a standard squad of termies (5) to be able to be accompanied by an IC/SC in TDA, which would require a capacity of 12. This much is fact. Now, for a bit of my own interpretation: Since most other chapter books were written before this rectification, they still list capacity 10 (and, admit it, for those chapters it really does suck that thay can't attatch a char to a termie squad). For the Wolves, however, it's never been a problem, as we simply don't have minimum squad sizes for wolf guard in TDA. So, they put it back to 10 for us. Big deal. The Godhammer was never a great LR for SW anyway, but that's just me. It's still no prob for either the Redeemer or the Crusader, which have an official capacity of 12 and 16, respectively.
