ok here gos

first war for armagedon :

after the death of his lord ulric go,s mad slays a ton(ok 3)world eaters in hth and get angron to salute him, nice

he chooses to be a wolf priest instead of a wolf lord fair cop (i didnt realise it was that easy to promoted but hey)

now the crux ...logan was chapter master at armagedon and yet he was trained by ulric as a blood claw

but ulric wasnt a wolf priest yet..?

Welcome to the world of GW fluff inconsistencies. There is no real answer to this one, as the first war for Armageddon is dated roughly M41.400-499. WD 279 contains the most comprehensive account of the First Armageddon War I've come across puts it at M41.499-501. If we take M41.999 as the "present" then that puts AW1 500 years before the present.

Now, Ulrik is said to be the oldest member of the Wolves and in his description says that he rejected the honour of being Wolf Lord, which would mean at this point he was a member of the Wolf Guard and thus around 350 years old, possibly older (making his present age around 850, thus ensuring he is older than Grimnar, who is over 700.) The problem hinges on whether you take the Ulrik-Grimnar relationship to be Ulrik inducted Grimnar into the Wolves, in which case the whole thing breaks down as the dates just don't add up. On the other hand, if you take AW1 to be a "coming of age" for the two (Ulrik becomes a Wolf Priest, Grimnar is tested and found to be not wanting as Great Wolf) and from there the relationship becomes Ulrik helping to guide Grimnar as Great Wolf it makes more sense. It isn't however clear, or indeed sensical.

AW1 is a minefield of fluff inconsistances. The novel Grey Knights features a prologue with the final battle of a GK Grand Master who was apparently one of the survivors of AW1. The problem is that the prologue is said to have taken place 1,000 years before the early stages of the 13th Black Crusade - In other words, M40.900ish!
