jamsight
I had just fielded Lukas tonight and in passing his Pelt of the Doppegangrel rule were quite confusing as it states that it affects the ememy that targets him which is not really possible because he is not a IC. However my Frend has been playing RPG for along time and after a little though gave me the answer. certain charators can pick who they fight :- Vindicare assassin and Telion are the only two that spring to mind there is also a nice example in the Codex as well Njal's Lord of tempest effect on a roll of 6 would also count. Please add to this as you see fit and hope this help some of you Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180398-lukas-the-trickster/ Share on other sites
BertyBottyBiter
I was thinking this to. Should the rule be successful To Wound rolls allocated to Lukas? Grey Mage
The rule says: "To hit" and thus... thats exactly what it is. There are a few times this may come in handy- like for istance against the Black Templars "Emperors Champion" who duels people. Or against Telion, who could otherwise snipe him with impunity. Otherwise you just have to wait until hes by himself I suppose. He was likely supposed to be an independant character to begin with. jamsight
Lukus is not ment to be a rock hard charactor his pelt just give him a little edge in combat and also fits the fluff in that he is a sneaky little so and so Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/180398-lukas-the-trickster/#findComment-2158809 Share on other sites
BrotherWasted
Njal's Lord of Tempest effects are not subject to Pelt of the Doppelgangrel, as they do not require To Hit rolls. Note that Pelt of the Doppelgangrel says "All successful To Hit rolls specifically allocated against Lukas..." Vengeful Tornado simply states that "a model within 18" is ravaged by a tornado, taking D3 S9 hits." They automatically hit, but still need to roll to wound. The same applies to Chain Lightning: "..unengaged enemy units within 12" of Njal take D6 S8 hits..."
